That wouldn't redeem Madara, he's still the reason why many people died, he manipulated Obito into becoming like him which ended in Naruto's parents death, Konoha attacked by a Kurama, death of Sasuke's clan, and every other thing Obito played a part in. He would have to change who he is and live the rest of his life living a life that helps others and even then it would take many years for people to trust that he has changed. The same thing would have happened for Obito and should be for Sasuke as well. Only thing is Madara would be dead after bringing everyone alive but his evil deed>his good deeds.
