The Only One

I was born into the world like everyone else,
I grew up like them, lived like them,
But I was different from them all, even yourself,
A prodigy, all alone, their weakness I condemn.

If all are beneath me, I shall do what none can,
Take the vacant throne above the sky,
I’ll step beyond the realm of man,
And into that of god, free of the divine world’s lies.

I’ll get on your good side, and turn on you all the same,
No matter who you are, be you my friend or my family,
You’ll see me rise, and think me insane,
And when I set the wheels in motion, when the strings are pulled, you’ll understand your vanity.

When you think I’m up against the wall,
I’ll already be five steps ahead,
Orchestrating and plotting the means to your fall,
To proceed further, and then finally ascend.

And when this faux god of yours lies slain,
You’ll beg for forgiveness, beg to repent,
But I’ll simply to tell you that there is no need, for under my reign,
The world won’t be split by good or evil, no black or white, just the one colour….perfect.​
