Since the Previous Hokages were the ones who witnessed history and know it all. This means that Kurama is or could be the one who knows everything even more than Madara and the First Hokage Since he was creeated by SO6P himself.

Well the recreation of the hokages is making the plot more interesting and everyone wanted it too! However If just Kurama would have said it all..it wouldn"t seem all that interesting and also just a small conversation!!!
