The one thing i never understood about Madara

He felt butthurt when Obito put him in place

Simple both wanted it for different reasons

Obito wanted so everybody in the world could live peacefully and so he can see Rin again

Madara wanted so he could recollect Chakra from everybody on the planet so then nobody would be able to challenge him and there would be no more chakra.

Madara wanted it for the same reason as Obito, to have this ideal dream world. That chakra recollection was Kaguya's (and BZ's) plan, Madara had no idea about that.

He wanted to switch with Obito since he didn't trust him and wanted to fulfill "his" plan by himself and become the savior.
