The Oldest Eye

I just saw a thread on here debating which eye came first; Byakugan, Rinnegan, or Sharingan? I definitely think the Byakugan came first since you see it in all of the Otsutsuki and the Rinnegan was an eye given by eating the chakra fruit, which then mutated into the Sharingan later on.

This made me wonder, though, if the Sharingan came first and all the otsutsuki had Sharingan instead of Byakugan, how different would the fights be against Kaguya, Momo, Kin, etc?

Byakugan is the first and oldest eye - maybe even Rinnegan if some of the Otsutsukies had it , but Sharingan is a mutation of Rinnesharingan and Byakugan and even Rinnegan, since the eye can be uprage from Sharingan to Rinnengan

Jougan(pure eye) -> byakugan(all seeing eye) -> rinnegan(life&death eye) -> tenseigan(reincarnation eye) -> sharingan(copy eye)



Really they’ve only used the Byakugan to track chakra, only Kaguya used it in fights to know where people are

So not a major difference since kaguya still got hit in her blind spots
