Irotas is a 16 yr old boy, borned with the ability to sense danger and predict movements. Irotas is the only one that knows about these powers. Irotas lives on a barn in the kingdom of Pandemor with his mother Kias and to younger sisters Alyia and Alana to a different father Balar. At the age of 4, Irotas witnessed his father Zanga being captured by knights under the order of the king. Irotas was young and had no idea of whats going on, so did his mother. Irotas father was always a quiet mysterious man. Barely home, hes always spent his time in an old shack in the middle of the woods. Irotas always asked his father about the shack, but his father always changed the subject everytime the shack is mentioned. After the capturing of his father, his mother never spoke of his father again or his fathers past. Irotas main goal now is to find out everything about his fathers history and capturing and the mystery behind his abilities.
Its a bright friday morning in the great plains of Pandemor. Irotas, the first to wake up, goes out without breakfast to hunt for food for the family to have to lunch and dinner. This is a morning routine for Irotas, and sometimes his stepfather Balar helps him. Balar was the one who taught him how to shoot with a bow and how to fish. Balar played the role of father for Irotas ever since his father was captured.
Irotas takes of to the forest alone with a bow tied onto his back and a pocket knife hanging by a piece of string. As the young man walks through the forest, he could hear the the birds chirp and the flowing water of a near by stream. Suddenly, he hears a soft beautiful voice singing at the bottom of the stream. He slowly approaches the beautiful sound and he peeps over the top of a dryed up tree trunk. With a shocking but amazed look on his face, he sees a young blonde beautiful girl washing her clothes and singing. Irotas jumps down from the ledge, yelling good morning, scaring the blonde beauty. Scared out of her mind, the girl begins to panic and the stream water begins to form a water wall.
Irotas- " Hi take it easy, calm down, I won't hurt you"
Blonde- " Who are you and what do you want with me, stay away, I won't hold back on you."
Irotas- "Sorry for startlig you, I didn't mean it. I saw you and was quite amazed by your beauty and singing"
Blonde- " Huh, my singing, yeah right, you can compare my singing to a babys cry after getting spanked on the behind, that's how horrible it is."
Irotas- "First of, can you do something with the water thing, hehe.. it's kind of making me feel uncomfortable."
Blonde- " Ohh.. sorry about that, it happens when I panic , you know."
Irotas- " Well, that's very impressive, how are you able to do that, you see, I have a special ability also. I was born with it, but never knew the history behind it. My parents kept it quiet."
Blonde- "You do, that's amazing, I can't believe I get to meet someone that's just like me. What can you do my dear?"
Irotas- " Lets first take a seat so I can inform you on my abilities, there is nothing to worry about, I'm just a boy that's trying to find the truth behind the kiddnapping of his father, that's all."
Blonde-" What!!, they took your father to, the same happened here. I have been trying to find the reasoning behind it for my entire life. My relatives won't say a word about it. Sometimes, I just feel like giving up because there is no hope."
Irotas-" That is very strange, the knights taking the fathers of kids with special abilities. My mother and stepfather won't mention anything to me either, that's why I made it my duty to find out whats really going on. I will fight to the end to figure out the meaning of this, and my friend, there is always hope, and never give up, we must always fight to live another day."
Blonde-" Yes, I guess you are right and I will love to join you on finding out what happened to our fathers. We are basically in the same situation and it will be easy if we work together, you know what I mean."
Irotas-" Yes, we shall work together and find our fathers. By the way, the name is Irotas, son of Zanga."
Blonde- " Irotas, that's quite an intriguing name you got there. Well, my name is Shanale, daughter of Dixon."
The two young ones now know each others names and are becoming friends quickly. They both now share the same goal of finding out what happened to their fathers. Both Irotas and Shanale have special abilities and are now partners that's going to begin a journey that will top all journeys.
Irotas-" Well to answer your question from earlier, I have the ability to sense danger and predict movements. It's quite fasinating actually."
Shanale-" Wow, that is impressive, well, I should be finishing up washing these clothes before my mother gets worried. I have to head back home as soon as possible because I promised my mother I will help her cook."
Irotas-" Oh, okay I understand, mother do worry a lot. Well, I live not to far from here, just over the hill in a wooden house, you should come by some time for supper. My family will love to have you there, especially my mother."
Shanale-" That sounds great, I will some time. Also, we will be able to discuss our plans and strategies for finding our fathers."
Irotas-" Yes, we will, well I have to go, by the way, your singing is very good. It made me feel like a baby again."
Shanale- "Well thank you Irotas, son of Zanga. See you some time soon? maybe in two days?"
Irotas-" Your welcome, yes, two days sound great to me, I shall prepare a feast. Well I'm of, be safe on your way home."
Shanale-" I will, bye and see you soon Irotas."
As Shanale turns around, a arrow plunges her right in the arm. On top of a little hill behind the trees, stand several soldiers of the king with arrows and swords. They hold several shackles and begins descending down the hill.
Irotas-" Shanale!!!, you bastards, what do you want with us. Don't worry Shanale, everything will be fine. I will protect you with my life."
Shanale-"Irotas, it hurts. My arm feels very numb."
Knight-" What do you want with us, you ask. Wrong, we don't want anything with you. We are here for the girl, and if you get in our way, you shall die by my sword."
Irotas-" Well, you are going to have to try your best to kill me, because there is no way I'm letting you take my friend. Bring it you stupid bastards!!"
Knight-"So shall be it, be prepared for your death you stupid twerp."
The knights are trying to capture Shanale for unknown reasons, but they are not going to succeed that easily because Irotas is not going to let his friend be taken away without a fight.
