you're reading the story the wrong way stop thinking about kishi and how he's doing plot and character development
and just read the story as it unfolds, it was obito who killed neji
kishi didn't make neji die for naruhina
neji dying might make naruhina but that's just how it happened in the story

Let's be honest, Neji barely contributed to the shippuden series. After the Sasori arc he was just hanging around. It's really disappointing since he was SUPPOSED to be the best prodigy after sasuke, but in the end was fodderized protecting hinata and naruto-.-Kishi's smart, he's killing off unimportant side characters who DID contribute to the plot but not significantly. I predict either Kiba or Shino are next. And an awesome Gai/8-gates moment. To be honest I really can't wait

neji dying was out of no where but i understand why kishi did what he did because neji has not been relevant in a while shino or kiba might be next or even tenten but you never know with kishi R.I.P. NEJI

He's too much of a wuss to kill lpeople permanently.[/QUOTE i think your thinking of bleach that auther ALWAYS seems to bring people back from the dead! kishi does kill of people and big characters too (pervy sage, 3rd hokage, most llikly tsunade, as far as we know ino and shickamarus dad, and now neji) granted i thought kishi was startiing to pull a bleach when he brought back everyone to life at the end of the pain arc but now thats all turned around again
