Sad day to be a Naruto fan. At least now we know Neji can't be trolled anymore, unless, of course, he is revived and killed off again just after Hinato receives the Golden Byakugan even though he is the genious of the strongest clan in Konoha.

So much potential wasted, but at least he died protecing theones he loved.

It was needed. Obito is Naruto's mirror image. Neji isn't close enough to Naruto's heart to make him understand what Obito felt when he lost Rin. Someone from the original team 7 or if the development stays as slow moving as it has then Hinata will have to be killed.
