I find it funny that people ask for someone to die in the war so Kishi kills off Neji then we get threads saying why kill this guy....REVIVE HIM NOAW!!!! personaly I was gutted he died but meh it's war I see him being the 1st of many to die on the battle field
Neji was shown just for one chapter and for one purpose.
Everyone saw in the latest chapter that Neji sacrificed himself to save Naruto. Neji is done for.

As for now one Hyuuga is down and the most powerful Hyuugas remaining are Hiashi and Hinata among the Hyuugas on the battlefield. A genius is dead now. But the important thing is there's one more from the Hyuuga clan as sharp as Neji guess who?
Hyuuga Hanabi - Hinata's younger sister.

As for now we know that this War arc is not going to be the final arc of Naruto. Kishi will cover up some unfinished business with the remaining not focused characters. Will he introduce Hanabi opposite to Hinata once again? (In the same way, Neji and Hinata were faced during Chunin exams) Since she was excellent in fighting skills in the flashbacks as compared to Hinata.
Is it that Kishi is clearing some people out of the show just to replace them with others who are on same skill level or will surpass them? And then he'll end Naruto by placing all the pieces at right place?
With these things in mind I wonder who will be the next target who must be replaced (either an experience one like Shikaku, Inoichi etc or from the young generation like Neji and lots more to die)
Your thoughts?
I. Believe and mark my words hinata will unlock new thing in her eyes cause she saw his death infront of her eyes so far sharingan and byakugan are linked.
In those earlier chapters Hanabi was shown in the context of Hinata's backstory. I don't think we will see her participate in the war as she is too young. Just like we won't see Konohamaru in the war. Neji's death not only ties into his past with Naruto but will allow Hinata to step up to the plate avenge Neji and repay Naruto by protecting him as he has throughout the manga.
Mind you this is only my opinion and I have no proof.

Kishi might make one arc focusing the Hyuugas and Hanabi as antagonist (Naruto will be playing a part in this arc since I can see Naruhina more clearly now) and yeah we will see Konhamaru's small arc too fighting for the Hokage's throne
Neji died for a single reason. Neji's death, and the deaths of others during the war, give motivation to keep fighting. Naruto's life, as Neji said, is no longer his own. He has always been one to fight for his friends, and now he's not just fighting for them, Naruto is avenging them. All the deaths in the war so far were for this.
If Obito's mind is changed then he can use Rinne Tensei No Jitsu to bring him back, We've seen Naruto change a villain's mind before.
However I am glad he died, really showed some people on the forum who over-hyped his powers that he cannot just keep spinning endlessly on the spot and deflect everything.
