The numbers of Senju clan

Well, hello! I have a question. When the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan became allies, they had the same numer of members (or almost), right? But when you see the time that Sasuke were 8 years, you see that the Uchiha clan had even a (small) place were they lived. They were with much. But the Senju clan hadn't much. At least, I didn't saw. So my question is: What happened to all those Senju clan members? If it's a stupid question, than sorry, but I want to know what happend to those members.
