In most pirate ships there was three things punishable by death
Murder within the crew.
Mutiny.
Abandonment.


Do you remember how serious they treated Usopp when he left. They didn't speak to him they didn't think about him they didn't help him.

And when people bring up leaving your pirate crew to join they don't realize that joining a crew is something that is for life.
And its even worse for a captain to leave his ship. Down with the ship. You must die with that ship.
And as much as that means Barto can't (or shouldn't be able to join with ease) Join the straw hats. It means Hancock couldn't join the crew (her pistol kiss included) Simply due to the fact that Its impossible for a captain to abandon their crew and their ship.

i would love to watch one piece, the concept is really cool and i love pirates but the characters are just to ugly home boy with the ponokio nose and one guy has popeye arms its just ridiculous lufy is the only one i could tolerate cuz hes normal looking and like a anime mr fantastic.

1. Sanji for leaving the Baratie
2. Usopp for leaving his village
3. Franky for leaving the Franky Family

And he wouldn't have asked Jinbe to join his crew.

I explained why Law isn't. Luffy hated the Pirates that left laboon. He HATED THEM. Luffy isn't the straightest arrow in the box so when he sees someone and auto asked them to go on an adventure dont take it to heart. They arent crew. Law isnt crew. Luffy thinks he is. But he isnt.

I don't think any pirate who abandons their nakama would even be accepted by another pirate crew, that would be embarrassing for them.
