They're yet to be called "the new sannin" in the manga. Team 7 is the name of their team and it'll most likely continue to be.
And yes, if Sasuke can summon Aoda he can summon other snakes. A summoning contract extends to all the creatures of the same species.

However, as stated, Sakura is not yet worthy of being a Sannin. She is the only one not to surpass their Sannin mentor and she pissed her panties just seeing Madara. A Sannin must stand strong in the face of opposition, I doubt Tsunade was terrified against Hanzo.

@bold: A better example of this would be the Gokage vs Madara fight.
Madara's name alone caused his opponents to experience fear, but the moment she heard he was on the battlefield the first thing she did was going there to confront him.
Even after seeing him using Hashirama's Mokuton, instead of remaining in the backlines she decided to take an active role in the battle.
And finally after seeing his full power and being put in a regrettable state, she put herself together and moved to confront him again.

That instance works just as well; I agree with everything you said. I was merely using Hanzo as an example since he was also believed to be unbeatable and the Sannin obviously weren't recognized at that point, yet they went headstrong in and fought valiantly.

Either way, Tsunade showed up Sakura big time.

OT: they were clearly paralleled as hiruzen remembered them (old sannin) and the whole new era has come. I don't think they will be referred to as the neo sannin but something else.
