It turned out to be very similar to Kishimoto's logic. Naruto in Sage's mode has damn powerful taijutsu moves, Sasuke using the Heaven Cursed Mark at its maximum potential has damn powerful ninjutsu moves... So it's pretty plausible the third Sannin student have a powerup in the Genjutsu's path.

By the way... stop f*cking understimating Sakura, she was meant to have a bloom pretty late in the manga .___.

Why? Both Naruto and Sasuke surpassed their masters. If Kishimoto hasn't shown any progress on Sakura's abilities, it doesn't mean she didn't get any... I think we should just wait and see, but I don't like the fact that there are guys talking as if they know what Kishimoto will bring.

About the Itachi issue... as I know, we have never seen any fight between Itachi and Sakura, so, you can't take what you said as a fact.
