Well, ever since I heard that OST during Episode 249, it bowled me over. It's one of the best background-OST in all Naruto in my opinion. I remember I said once that it could become one of my favorite if they played it more often.

It was played when Kushina was saying her last words to Naruto and it was inserted again in today's episode when Shin was nearly dying and coughing blood.

While, I was teary during Minato-Kushina's sacrifice, I think I was on the verge of cracking up again today. Not that I'm interested in Sai-Shin relation but that song was so sad that it moved me up. It's a song of the level of a blockbuster movie soundtrack. Whoever composed this, is a ****ing genius.

If you still don't get about which sound I'm talking about, then here's a edited version I found:

So how do you find it? And it would be nice if anyone knows its name or the person's name who composed this. :)

All previous instrumental tracks have been composed by Toshiro Masuda, as to this track being unreleased I can only assume it's Toshiro Masuda again. That's my best 'guesstimate'.

I completely agree, this song is amazing, the moment I heard it in today's episode I was actually thinking of Minato and Kushina, Sai and Shin sort of faded in favour of the more epic scene I tend to associate with the melody now xD

Nope, Toshiro Masuda composed all OSTs for Naruto and first 3 Naruto movies.

But all soundtrack of Naruto Shipuuden were done by Yasuharu Takanashi. Same for the 5 Shipuuden Movies. Though, many of the OSTs composed originally by Masuda are still used in Shipuuden.

The thing is that this OST seems a bit different from his style. In fact, there has been a change in mood since Last 2 Arcs. However, it's been a long time since a new Naruto Shippūden: Original Soundtrack CD was released.

I think, Takanashi is still doing the new OSTs (since he's also doing the movies) but I'd like some confirmation. Like a date for the next release date of a 3rd Naruto Shipuuden OST CD. For now, I'd that Takanashi surpassed himself and delivered this masterpiece.
