So by my understanding; When the head of the clan has children, the First born in considered the Main House and is taught all the Hyuuga secret techniques...etc and the second child is automatically a member of the Branch House.
So, is Hinata's sister Hanabi in the branch house?

Not really sure on that myself. Hizashi was born after hiashi but I'm not sure if that automatically makes him a branch member. Hinabi has not been labeled one either, nor has hinata.

Possibly but I believe due to her prodigal talents hasashi would make an exception since he considered hinata a failure so haha I was the next best thing.
That's logical, but seeing that Neiji was an extremely talented ninja even in the Hyuuga Clan; If Hasashi would have mad a consideration for Neiji? Was Hinata appointed the Hyuuga Clan leader?

From what I read; The clan is separated into two parts, the Main House (宗家, Sōke) and the Branch House (分家, Bunke), a system that protects the secrets of the Byakugan from outsiders. The Main House runs the family while the Branch House protects it. The members of the Branch House are branded with a cursed seal upon the third birthday of the heir to the Main House. This seal gives the Main House members absolute control over the branch members, because they can destroy the branch members' brain cells with a simple hand seal, or cause them great pain to punish them. This seal also makes sure the secret of the Hyūga's Byakugan is safe, because it seals the Byakugan after the wearer of the seal dies. Because they are essentially servants, simply because of their birth order or heritage, some Branch House members are hostile to those of the Main House.[3]

I've read that Hiashi and Hazashi were twins. But because Hazashi was born second he was the Branch leader.
I guess these two started the main/branch system

Damn my Family Tree is a Fail xD

Yes Hanabi is a branch member, but from what we have seen his father is pretty flexible and isn't as stubborn as his predecessors. Plus he care for both his girls, doubt he i going to brand her.

I don't think such a thing exists anymore, not talking about the Last, but to where Naruto has came so far. I believe the Hyūga Clan is changed, as Naruto said: "When I become Hokage, I'll change the Hyūga Clan."

Is it Naruto's place (even if he is Hokage) to change a clan's tradition? I can see if Hinata is the Hyuuga Clan Leader and she stopped the branding...

Not fully, I think, but as the leader of the village he must have some say in the matter. I also think that Hiashi was willing to make some changes. . . when he saw Hizashi, during the Fourth Ninja World War, the way he spoke was hinting towards that.

That makes sense. The reason for this line of questions is that I've read some spoilers for the Last movie and it said the antagonist kidnapped Hinabi thinking it was Hinata. I was thinking that He needed the main branch (without the curse seal) to complete his plan.
Mainly, why he needed Hinata specifically if all he needed was Hamura's lineage.

I think it's her age. Hanabi was too immature, while the others were too old. Hinata seems the perfect age for it. This may raise the question: "Why not another member from the Clan with the same or close age to hers?" - others have not been explored at all throughout the Manga and there wouldn't have been time to do so in the Movie. That's why Hinata works out the best. . . only my thoughts. . . :yeah:

Hiashi was actually born first which made Neji's dad Hizashi apart of the branch family and since hinata was the first born hanabi should be apart of the branch family as well but since Hinata was not strong enough according to her farther and the elder they choose Hanabi its was explain a bit in the last two episodes.

I don't think it's a question of Naruto being a literal hokage and changing Hyuuga. I think it is a broader foreshadowing of when he became hokage he would also marry Hinata, and then they would change the clans relationship to itself for the better.

He wants to kidnap Hinata because plot. i'm not even gonna try to justify it.

The only reason the seal is in there is to let the main house kill branch members if they try to revolt or to not let the Byakugan be stolen. As I heard

"I think it is a broader foreshadowing of when he became hokage he would also marry Hinata"

Neji had just described the system to Naruto. Naruto found it horrible as a normal person and an hero should find. He was talking only about himself.

Stop trying to retcon the plot as foreshadowing for your clearly decided at the last hour pairing!

Bolt and Hiwamari are Hyuga.
There is no way Naruto and Hinata are going to let Hiwamari be a "slave" of Bolt.
To do that , Naruto and Hinata are going to change the Hyuga main branch thing.

The fact that Hiwamari doesn't have the second branch seal on her forehead seems to be a proof that Naruto and Hinata stopped the main branch thing in their family , maybe they did it for all the Hyuga clan...

Don't we notice Hinata's affection for Naruto within the first several chapters?

Hinata becomes a better person because of her relationship to Naruto throughout the Chunin exams.

Naruto then confronts Neji and his ideas of fatalism and then promises to change Hyuuga when he becomes Hokage.

Well how would he do that and why would Kishi make Naruto have this discussion in front of the girl that adores him?!
(There are like a million different ways that conversation could have come up, it is fiction after all...)
When I read the chapter I thought " Oh dang, they're gonna fall in love and Naruto will change Hyuuga with Hinata as a couple." I've had this thought for ten years, so I'm not so sure I'm performing a retcon.

I hate to spoil it for everyone but the NaruHina relationship has been obvious through the whole run, if I have a bias its because Kishimoto clearly displayed one. (I don't really have an odd personal bias that colors my theories, it's fiction dude I just observe it and report what I see.)

Stop trying to retcon my comment as retcon when it's not retcon.
