This. Sasuke in base (meaning no Sharingan) wasn't even giving it his best while Shin using the 3T couldn't push Sasuke that much into needing to actually fight. Naruto can't just gain sensory ability in his base, you're usually born with it or gain it in a mode like SM or KM.

- shin was at the very least keeping Sasuke on his toes
- now a couple of acedmy students are holding there own (not even genin yet)
- those two acedmy students are also keeping up with Naruto, he should have left them in his dust lool
- Naruto still needs sage mode to sense U_U

naruto out paced the academy students and he wasn't even running fast. He even turned back to wait for them.

and that kid wasn't even making sasuke break a sweat. Sasuke was so not serious, that before the fight he deactivated his sharingan to have fun with the kid and give him a chance.

If you look way back you could remember that Naruto and Sasuke held their own against Zabuza..

. Sasuke felt the need to use the Sharingan and got his sword caught by shins chains. Not to mention shin was just testing him, and then still managed to escape from sasuke. I'm not in denial of anything Lol. He let the onion head get away, right underneath his nose.

Sasuke had his sharingan off tho and still soloed that bruh with ease.
