Madara is actually not an evil,I mean not completely.
'Madara' stands for mad anti-racist action.which means an extreme anti-racist action.that was Madara's first goal against the senju clan.and make sure that the uchiha would win profits.(uchiha got treated racially).
so we can see that he's not 100% evil.he just went too far.

Where did you read that? From what I have been reading "Madara" translates to either "brave" or "spot/speckle.
