The mystery that is Nagato

It was still never explained how in the world Madara managed to implant his eyes in Nagato

Did he his parents not notice his eyes suddenly changing? Did he not notice someone pulling his eyes out?

I thought Nagato, Pien, and oragami girl parents where dead through most of their childrhood! And Madara or Obito prob. used genjustu on him to do the OP.

Zetsu probably used his clones to turn into konoha ninja, and who's to say he cant cast genjutsu while transformed as one of them? Remember zetsu can copy the abilities of his opponents to the letter, i dont see why he cant cast a basic genjutsu on a child.

All he had to do was make nagato think that he awakened the rinnegan, the zetsu clones could've killed his rents

he probably didnt literally get his eyes
what happened was at some point he found a specimin known as nagato
then became jimmy savile , stalked him and followed him home and put him to sleep
transplanted some uchiha DNA so that he could awaken the rinnegan in a time of great need

My theory is that he used Izanagi to implant the rinnegan on Nagato, hence the reason he is seen with one sharingan eye when he meets Obito. As to where he gets this sharingan is another story, but its possible he used the Zetsu's created from the Tree to help him implant his spare set of sharingans, after removing his rinnegan to implant into Nagato.
