You need to look at the similarities. Sasuke's impalement is reminiscent of Madara's impalement by Hashirama at the VOTE.

At the conclusion you can see Hashirama looking up at the ridge indicating there is some unseen observer. That is likely the same person observing Sasuke right now. Let the speculation begin.

I've been seeing this theory for a while that Madara has gotten help in VOTE and I've been waiting to see if it was true for so long. If this is the case, it's the perfect time for this mystery man to strike again. I certainly hope Kishi doesn't plan on prolonging this another chapter after next week. Am I the only one who thought it was extremely random but convenient for a gust of wind to cause smoke around the figure? Sheesh, Kishi certainly goes through drastic measures to cover this identity.
