[Discussion] The Mystery Behind Minato’s FTG!

I wonder what type of jutsu Minato used to deflect the Jubi’s Tailed-Beast bomb. As we’ve seen before from Minato’s encounter with the full-powered Kyubi, he used the S/T Barrier technique to repel the Kyubi’s attack & redirect it to another location. But doing so, he needed to form a seal & hold the kunai until the tailed beast bomb finally swallowed as we’ve seen in this scan.

Since the procedure of executing this jutsu, requires preparation time, it is of my belief that this isn’t the jutsu he recently use to repel the jubi’s attack.


The only possible hint we’ve witnessed was the used of his kunai as shown after he performed the jutsu

So far we all know Ftg have 2 levels as according to Minato. One is he can teleport to any location he had marked, & the other one allows him to teleport to a stationary object with seals instantly.

So was it really possible that Minato used an advanced S/T barrier or S/T barrier technique level 2 to deflect the Jubi’s attack instantly?

What do you guys think?

I think Kishi drew it this way for a more dramatic "wtf just happened??!?!" effect before the grand entrance of Minato.

That said, it could be a more advanced version of the S/T barrier. I mean Minato did transport himself and the Kyuubi instantly before.

Perhaps so. He didn't become Hokage because of only a handful of jutsu, he has more in his arsenal.

As I've always been saying, we dont know the full arsenal of Minatos jutsus. He must have a lot.He must have used one that can teleport things beta dan the lv 1 nd l2 ftgs

then throw the kunai infront of naruto

He teleported the kyubi & his tbb before with himself, now he just used his kunai... Probably an advanced version of S/T barrier...
