im just going to say that you can go to 3000 ft and still be fine without equipment... you have two things you need to worry about if you dive that far though.... 1. getting the bends... if you come up too fast you can get bubbles in your body and that can lead to death but with time you wont have to worry about that and 2. is the oxygen... oxygen gets more and more toxic when you go father down... so yeah you cant breathe that...

so technically he could survive..... its been a while so he could resurface with getting the bends lol
