I wouldnt say hidan is fodder, he was able to go to and toe with kakashi i a CQC confrontation and he showed noteworthy keen on senses reaction time feats and also has a high endurance for pain

Just like what the title says.Who is the most underrated character in the series?I pick Rock Lee because he worked his butt off to get strong and he did'nt have things handed to him like certain characters.He has one of the best base speeds in the series and he is a monster at taijutsu,he beat Sasuke and would have beaten Gaara if the plot hadn't dictated that he lose.Yet he often gets swept under the rug while characters with OP jutsu,KKG,or jichuriki get the spotlight.

Itachi, people think that since Kabuto landed several lethal blows against him that he's a lot less powerful than he seemed during life.

The fact is that Kabuto was prepared to fight a sharingan user, and he used the most obscure, random assortment of kekkei genkai and ninjutsu that Itachi could never have anticipated such an opponent. Kabuto is the only character other than 10 tails that can hit Itachi like that.
