The most talked about character now is sasuke, during the whole war arc and almost the whole shippuden it was obito/tobi who had his peek of popularity with his demasking, that was the most talked about moment of the whole manga.
Overall i say the uchihas are the most talked about characters, they always get the most love, hate and analisis, even if naruto is suppose to be the star of show, the uchihas are far way more complex and interesting than naruto, naruto is fun to watch but the uchihas, they are all very interesting and complex and they kept the plot moving.
