3rd Raikage followed by Itachi

Yes.

I don't remember Tsunade taking on 10,000 shinobi/kunoichi just to save a few of her comrades. All she did was (nearly) sacrifice herself for all of Konoha and as of now all that she's doing is sacrificing herself for the other Kage because plot has to kill her off.

It's not the amount of people that you saved, it's the lengths that you are willing to save a person that counts as selflessness. Of course Tsunade would sacrifice herself for all of Konoha; any Hokage would (and we have seen the Nidaime, Sandaime and Yondaime Hokage do that already) so I don't see the point there.

It's the same thing.
Comrades = the ones in your village.

Once again, I don't remember Tsunade taking on 10,000 shinobi/kunoichi for three days and three nights just to let a few of her comrades escape from harm. Or take on the Hachibi for the sake of the village a countless amount of times (and one of those times he was alone).

Tsunade has never went to those lengths, and thus, the Sandaime Raikage is much more selfless than she is.

I would say Chiyo. Hear me out. The others on the list, all had reasons to do what they did. But Chiyo did it was needed on the spot. She was old and bitter, and probably didn't care to much, she didnt't really have much conviction in anything...And yet she gave up her life for a bunch of people she never really care two shits about. It's like you, sacrificing your life for you sister. What Chiyo did was sacrifice herself for strangers. That's selfless! In my book anywas.

But she sacrificed herself for her comrades who were along the same number.
Since when sacrifices are comparable? :|
And you put precision on that number but as far as we know, they might've been fodders.
But it doesn't matter, if you sacrificed you life for one comrade that's enough and speeks tons.
Since when life is so low-appreciated? :|
Gezaz...

She didn't go so far as to sacrifice her life or to fight for three days and nights, did she?
Did she fight a Biju on multiple occasions and on one of those occasions solo it?

I don't think so.

You're wrong in so many ways, but whatever.
Seems that a human life to you is nothing.
But meh.

I'm talking in the context of the manga.
Not a real human life; don't get the wrong idea here through your misunderstandings.

The Sandaime Raikage went through greater lengths to save a lesser amount of people.
Tsunade went through lesser lengths to save a greater amount of people.

Going by this, the Sandaime Raikage sacrificed his life for a FEW comrades whereas Tsunade simply exhausted her (enormous) chakra reserves to save the village.

Who went farther? From this, it can be assumed that Tsunade is more "selfish" than the Sandaime Raikage because we have no proof that she would have done the same as the Sandaime Raikage if she were in the same position as him (as a Hokage, it's basically an unstated obligation for them to give up their lives when needed; even Tsunade herself didn't want to be Hokage because of this (once again, selfish; what was she doing with her life at that point? gambling?)).

Sadly, anyone making a choice over which type of sacrifice is the "best" is completely wrong in what they say.

The reason i voted for Sandaime Raikage and Itachi is because their sacrifices to me really stood out due to their originality, i mean to fight for 3 days straight against 10,000 men is truly something when done to allow your comrades to get away.

Tsunade equals this with the countless lives she's saved at the knowing cost of her own (Pain Invasion), bringing back the five kage who are on the brink of death and everything else she's done.

This isn't a debate thread, it shouldn't have any arguments within it.

All those people you put up their but 1(i.e. naruto) gave up their lives for a greater, but how many of them gave up their honor, humanity, and soul to do what was necessary to protect what they cared about. Only 1 fits the title of the most unselfish character in the naruto series.

pathetiq :/ Arguing over who is most "selfless", rather than actually embracing the fact what these characters are willing to do.

They are all valued.
