After all the sh!t he went trough, being alone for so long the only thing that was on his mind when he finally could move on was to fulfill his promise to his friend..admirable

Corazon for me. Despite Doffy being his brother he knew what he did was wrong and he had to do something to stop him. Not to mention what he all did to save Law's life and to give him a future where he can be happy and have hopes.

I do agree with many posts and choices people have given and I have liked all the posts that would be a part of my list as well.

No character has an ideology respected by all.

OT: All of the Yonko since they can have all of those fleets.
Sengoku and Akainu should be on the list. Yes, yes, I know from our perspective, Sakazuki is a ****. However, from the series perspective, he's trying to protect the citizens of the world through any means. The safety of the world from criminals is his top priority. The Marines still follow him, and it was said the political top dogs were adamant about him being Fleet Admiral, Which means a great deal of respect.

Fisher Tiger and Otohime should be on there as well.

I don't understand your choice for Akainu though. I mean you remember what he did at Ohara, right? destroyed an island of innocent and intellectual people. I don't understand how he makes the respectable list. (Not to mention the ship taking the inhabitants of the island)
And while we are in Ohara lets mention, Jaguar D. Saul! The amazing marine who stood for what is right and not just followed the status quo.

You yourself said in your OP that respectable includes earning the respect of your comrades. Akainu has done so. When a new Fleet Admiral was needed, those how up in the political chain wanted Akainu as Fleet Admiral. The only opposition was Sengoku and Aokiji as far as we know. That means he's earned the respect of his comrades, both his underling Marines and his superiors in the world government.

Akainu is an extremist, yes, but he's doing so because he sees that as the most efficient way to protect the world. The only reason we see Akainu as bad is because the series is presented to us from the perspective of the pirates being our protagonists. Don't forget pirates kill innocents, destroy homes, steal and do many other rotten things. Many people of the OP world fear pirates, look at their reactions to Whitebeard's power and Roger's bloodline being alive. If this was real life, Akainu would still be a ****, but he'd also be on the side we'd be rooting for.
