This is just just a question I wanted to ask....This thread is not a theory/speculation..........
Pain used Chibaku tensei to capture Six Tails......Then he said this is nothing in comparison with The Moon created by sage of six paths......If Chibaku tensei is used by pain to capture to Six Tails..The is there a possibility dat Moon also holds something even more powerful or dangerous.. I am not at all conversant with Japanse mythology. But by seeing how kishi writes, is there any possibilty dat kishi may once again used some mythological creature encaged within moon........

It could just be a myth...
But i would hate it if your assumption is true... besides shouldn't 'that' chibaku tensei have faded away with the the dissapearance of the sage of six paths. Meaning the moon could not have been created by him.
Or it could be that all the effects of the rinnegan last as long as the rinnegan exists...

I don't really like the idea of these things existing in the narutoverse...same goes for the attraction/repulsion technuiques pein has. What happened to classic ninjustsu...

The fact the moon was brought up was to compare himself with the Sage of Six Paths... which did create the moon... he was just saying if the Sage of Six Paths can create the moon this will be a piece of cake.

I really like the idea that something even more monstrous might be traped inside the moon... wow... maybe something the final Villain can get his hand on or even in a Naruto Movie... they could have a massive monster/ demon be summoned from the moon...

Sure it's creative...but i just don't like that idea mixing in with the narutoverse. It's up to Kishi what happens anyway.
And i know why he made the statement about the sage... I think it also made him feel down for not pulling off something the size of the moon ( you could see he wasn't in the shape too anyway)... andalso to shut up konan., but she was right...

As stated in a previous thread of mine, i believe the sage of six paths may still be alive because the moon still exists and hes using orochimarus technique (as rinnegan gave birth to all ninja techs) to infiltrate somebody.

Oh also, Itachi gave naruto a power, Itachis main genjutsu was the use of crows, however in tsukyomi there was always a moon.

Might have some link, maybe?

OMG, Itachi can't be linked to another thing can he...
And if the sage is using bodies...could he have been using nagato's...

well the gravitaional jutsu are good it makes pein aswome and helps to make a strong character to try and over come after all it is a type of attack used in many japanese styled mangas and games so its pretty reasonable to sue gravity as a elemental attack.

good speculation. last night I was reading a thread on the onemanga forums where this person had an excellent theory on rikoudu (sage of the six paths) and how he is related to the sharingan. I can't link it now because I'm on my phone, but if you look in the onemanga forums under naruto, look for the thread titled something like rikoudu and the sharingan.

he basically says rikoudu trapped the first sharingan user inside the moon and that sharingan user is rikoudu's son who sought revenge on rikoudu for not wanting to pass down the rinnegan to him, and instead to his brother. he explains this is why the moon is one of the many symbols of the uchiha clan and why on a full moon night, some big event related to the sharingan occurs (like the uchiha clan massacre or tobi unleashing kyuubi on konoha).

he also explains that the person inside the moon is still alive, and tobi knew of this, which is why tobi is after sasuke because sasuke has great potential in freeing the first sharingan user from the moon. tobi believes the first sharingan user will grant him powers.

it's a lot of speculation, but it is a very good theory and an interesting read.

I first criticized dat thread. But now to think of dat, yeah I think u r right. Shodai died, dat doesn't means trees shpuld die to, afterall trees are living beings, their life is independent of gardener...
