The Sage created the moon.

Just stop and think about that.

I came up with two remarks :

1° He did it with matter from the earth. Which means that somewhere on the planet, there is a Moon-sized hole :dafq:

2° Prior to him creating the Moon, there wasn't one. Pretty obvious huh ? Now how the hell did the people manage at night ? The light of the moon is our natural light during night time. So the world was pretty dark back there. So dark I doubt people could see much, if nothing at all

It must have been pretty horrible at night...

And maybe the moon sized hole is in the middle of the ocean...

This is real life logic, which does not apply in the Narutoverse.

What real life logic.. We've seen the moon shine more than once in the manga. Without it, there would a significant light loss. It's just logic.

Your applying real life logic to the Narutoverse. It doesn't work. Problem is, if someone ripped enough material from the earth to form an object the size of the moon, the effects would likely result in the extinction of all life on the planet. Your talking massive earthquakes, huge amounts of volcanic fallout, not to mention the gravitational effects. They'd have a whole lot more problems than a lack of light at night.

The moon is 1/81th the mass of the earth. And that's why I didn't state those.. And why I stuck with logic that could be applied everywhere : sun reflects on moon = light during night time. no moon = no light.

Honestly, its bad story telling on Kishi's part, like no one would recognize a moon size hole in the earth.

Kishi could have come up with anything like hid it in a cave with a seal, but it had to be the moon.

And? Your still ripping a massive amount of material from the crust. That alone would cause highly destructive earthquakes. Also, given the nature of the crust, the process would also likely tear open a rift to the mantle, producing significant volcanism. And then you've got the gravitational effects as the new object pulls away from earth, which would worsen all of the above and then some. All of this is just as universal as 'no moon = no light'.

Thats the issue. Kishi should keep shit like this, as real as possible. I don't see why the moon was needed for that tiny statue. Kishi could have easily come up with something else but no he had to be over the top and choose the moon.

I agree. He could have easily hidden it elsewhere just as effectively as in the moon. Not that it was at all effective, since people got their hands on the Gedo Mazo anyways.

No, not really. It's a manga. We don't even know for sure if they are on our Earth or some other planet. While we do know that at night in the manga, the moon shines and that's the primary source of light (like right now, they are battling by the moon's light), if there is no moon, no light. That's a logical assumption inside the logic of narutoverse
