Chapter 7 - Last words

A small amount of citizens slowly surround Alice in the street. She tries to run away, but stumbles and falls to the ground.

Sarah: … Stop it!! Why are you doing this!?

Sarah tries to stop them, but they don’t listen, and push her aside. Alice starts crying while she tries to crawl away.

Random citizen: Kick the milit out of the town!

Alice is suddenly grabbed by her red hair, and dragged along the ground. She screams, and tries to stand up, but is punched down to the ground again.

Father: Alice!!

Both the girls look across the street, and see Alice’s parents running towards them.

Alice: Mommy!!! Daddy!!!

Alice screams with all her might. The parents manage to push away the other citizens. The mother runs over to Alice and hugs her.

Mother: Alice, sweetie! Are you okay?

Alice cries and hugs her back.

Father: Get away from her, you bastards!

The citizens turn silent, and some take a step back.

The father turns around and faces Alice.

Father: Everything’s going to be alright now, sweetie… We’re not going to let anyone hurt y-

Several shots are heard, and blood is suddenly covering Alice’s face and clothes. Her mother and father slowly fall to the ground.

She slowly looks at her father. His eyes are open, and there is no sign of life.

Alice: D-Daddy?

She kneels down next to him, and tries to wake him up. Sarah and the citizens just stare in shock.

Alice: H-hey, Daddy… Wake up…

Blood is slowly coming out of her father’s body, and steps are suddenly heard from behind.

Lieutenant: Being friendly with a Milit is breaking the law you know…

The lieutenant is holding a gun, and walks towards the bodies of Alice’s parents. He is a muscular man with white hair. His face is covered in scars, and he is missing an arm.

Lieutenant: I’ll kill the whole family to the one who is friendly with this Milit next time…

People get scared, and slowly walk away… Sarah’s mother suddenly appears, forcibly takes her daughter’s hand, and walk away. Sarah’s voice is heard from far away.

Sarah: No mom! What’s going on? What about Alice!?

It’s quiet a moment before the Lieutenant speaks again.

Lieutenant: Milits don’t deserve to live in this world, girl … You are one of them now… Nobody cares about the likes of you…

He spits at her, and turns around and starts walking away.

Lieutenant: John, we are not needed here anymore, let’s go.

The sergeant walks towards the Lieutenant.

Sergeant John: Yes sir! …but what about the bodies?

Lieutenant: Forget them… The vultures will eat them anyway… Come now..!

Both of them walk away, and Alice is left alone with the bodies. She is covered in their blood, and looks at the ground in shock.

Alice: Daddy … Mommy … P-please wake up… You can't sleep now, it's not night yet...

Mother: S-sweetie…

Alice jumps in surprise, and looks at her mother. Her mother lies at the ground with blood around her. She doesn’t move, just stares at Alice.

Alice: Mommy!

Alice crawls over to her mother. She coughs up some blood before she starts talking.

Mother: We knew this would happen *cough* when we found out you was a Milit… We knew this would be the end for us… *cough* Please forgive us for not being able to continue protecting you…

Alice starts crying over her mother, which is the only sound on the street.

Alice: Don’t say that, Mommy! We just have to wait for daddy to wake up, and then we ca-

Mother: Sweetie… his not going to *cough* wake up anymore…

Tears and blood drips down from Alice's face.

Mother: Make the world realize that they are wrong… Show them that *cough* Milits aren’t any different… Show them your smile… Live on… *cough*

The mother gives a weak smile to Alice.

Mother: Mommy is going to sleep now, okay?

She slowly closes her eyes while holding her daughters hand.

Didn't notice this before, but usually lieutenant isn't in the same branch as sergeant, and if they were, sergeant would most likely be above a lieutenant. xd It's your own ranking though, so. :ice:

Story Mancandy time. xd Mancandy is a character created in Blender, and the inside joke is that anything wonky is considered Mancandy...like Mancady. Mancandy is my word for wonky. ^_^



So in this episode of Story Mancandy, we'll be focusing on milits in general, but mostly Alice. If it's against the law to help milits, then why didn't the lieutenant simply have Alice killed too? In fact, he should have just killed Alice instead of the parents, she's the only milit. One could make the argument that he killed the parents to set an example, but that doesn't explain why Alice was left alive. If people are so against them, then why not hunt down milits and execute them?

I can't crit on the "*cough*" in the middle of someone talking simply because it's style, but it seems slightly strange. I am traditional though, so... tsk tsk, still those grammar problems, but description is getting better, I'm starting to get a picture of what the lieutenant looks like. I also just noticed that Kishi has tons of Naruto critics, but yet people don't crit on FFs/OFs posted on NB...I'm thinking all ya'll can't back up your words...you can crit Kishi because he won't read what you said, but you can't crit someone who will read it...pussies. :scorps:

I liked how you did the action though, with Alice being drug along and how you did the shooting. You're kinda' like me, action is just flavor and story is what counts. :ice:

My biggest crit though is your style...I'm just not real excited about it. The reason being is because it's more like a script. I can't crit that though because style is style and either you like it or not. I can't wait to see what happens with Skylar though, and just how much trouble he's in for helping Alice. ^_^
