Chapter 3 – Fahra
It’s been 3 days since Skylar and Luke left the town Tiore, and they are now on their way to Fahra. The heat is the same as always, and the two boys are sweaty and hungry.
Luke: I ask again, why the hell did you just buy beans as supply?
Skylar laughs while eating a can of beans.
Luke: *sigh* It’s not funny you know… I already regret coming with you…
Skylar suddenly points south, and Luke immediately looks.
Skylar: Look, look, look! A town! That must be Fahra! Finally!
The can of beans is thrown at the ground, and Skylar runs off towards the town.
Luke: Hey, Wait for me Skylar! How the hell do you have so much energy!?
- 5 minutes later –
The streets are full of people, where both sellers and traders do well. People greet each other, and kids run around and play tag.
Skylar: Look at this town! This is kind of cool! Never seen anything like it! What do you think about it Luke?..... Luke?
Panting is suddenly heard from behind.
Luke: *pant* I said *pant* wait you idiot… You’re really *pant* fast Skylar. I can’t keep up with you *pant* at all …
Skylar: Yeah, I’m fast because of the electricity power in me. It kind of gives me extra speed…
Skylar and Luke looks around Fahra, and tries to find some kind of bar.
Luke: This is really amazing. Nothing like Tiore… Even the houses are all clean and build properly!
Skylar: Yeah, and it doesn’t smell like beer.
Skylar and Luke suddenly hear something on the other side of the street. They walk over to see what the commotion is about.
Some kids have surrounded a red-haired homeless girl.
Random Kid 1: Hahahaha, look at the face she is making! Hey, give me another tomato!
The kid throws the tomato at the homeless girl. Everyone around the girl, even the adults who passes by, starts to laugh. The homeless girl looks at the ground, and doesn’t even flinch when she gets hit by the tomato.
Random Kid 2: Hahaha, yeah, she is disgusting!
The same kid throws another tomato toward her, but Skylar grabs it before it hits her. The homeless girl looks up in surprise.
Skylar: I swear to god, I’ll beat the shit out of the next one who throws something at her.
The kids back away surprised and scared.
Random kid 1: W-who are you!? We are allowed to do stuff like that to her!
Skylar squeeze the tomato he still has in his hand.
Random kid 1: M-Moooommy!
The kids start crying, and run away from Skylar.
Luke: You know Skylar… You can be a little scary sometimes… Just like that time back in the bar in Tiore…
Skylar smiles a little, and turns around to the homeless girl.
Skylar: Are you okay?
The red-haired girl looks surprised again, and answers in a tiny and light voice.
Homeless girl: I-I’m okay. I’m k-kind of used to it.
Skylar looks at her, and smile brightly.
Skylar: We’ll be in this town a little while, so just come to us if you need any help, alright?
The red-haired girl blushes a little, and nods.
Skylar and Luke walk away and continue their search for a bar. The girl looks at the ground again, and opens her mouth.
A tiny and light voice comes out again.
Homeless girl: T-thank you so much.
