Chapter 18 - Burning House!
Her home is surrounded by drunken cowboys, and they all want mother Theresa back to the bar. The house is slowly being set on fire by one of them.
Random Cowboy: Hahahaha! Burn her out of the house so she comes back to the bar!
Mia stumbles towards them in panic; screaming in fear.
Mia: Stop it!! Mom is sick in there, and she-
Some of them looks at her, but ignores her completely. They continue to look at the fire, and so does Mia.
Mia: P-Please stop this…
The fire is spreading quickly all over the house, and is covered in fire within seconds.
Mia: STOP THIS!!
Mia runs into the burning house; ignoring the flames. The first place on her mind is her parent’s room; which is the first place she runs towards.
Mia: Dad!? Where are you!?
She notices something blocking the door while she screams for her father. It’s burning planks; and the door won't budge because of it.
Father: Mia!? Is that you!? Why is the house on fire!?
Yelling is heard from the other side of the door, and Mia runs to it without hesitation.
Mia: Take it easy, there is no time to explain! I’m here now, and I’ll get you out of there!
Father: Are you stupid!? You get out of here! Your mother and I can get out ourselves!
Mia starts moving the planks which are on fire while ignoring her father’s yelling; burning her hands in the process.
She screams in pain several times, but manages to move them all. She opens the door; seeing her father unharmed, and her yellow colored mother still lying sick in bed.
Mia: Dad! Thank god…
They give each other a hug, but quickly let go of each other after noticing the fire spreading more and more.
Father: All right… I’ll get help from the other in town to help extinguish the flames, and you’ll get your mother out of here, okay?
Mia nods to her father, and watches him run off after help. She runs to her mother’s side; preparing to start carrying her out of the burning house.
Mia: Mom… (I know I hurt her body when I move her, but I have no choice…)
Cracking sounds is heard right over Mia, and she looks up in surprise. Burning planks is falling down towards her, but she manages to dodge.
Mia: (Dammit, I have to get her out of here quick, or we both die in her!)
She takes her arm slowly around her sick mother, and starts carrying her. Her mother coughs and grits her teeth in pain.
Mia: Take it easy, mom… we’ll be out of her very soon!
Her mother looks up at Mia with somewhat yellow eyes; smiling at her.
Mother Theresa: Mi-Mia… I-I’m so sorry for being such a bad mother…
Mia: Just shut up… I don’t care right now, mom… What’s important is to get out of-
Mia is suddenly hit in the head by a glowing hot plank and stumbles to the ground; dropping her mother.
Mother Theresa screams in pain, and slowly looks at Mia; who has now lost conscious.
Mother Theresa: …Mia…
They are soon surrounded by fire and smoke while they both lie on the ground; One sick, and another unconscious.

Chapter 18 - Burning House!
