Chapter 14 - The Sand Cowboys
People in the town start running into their homes when they notice the mysterious group of 4 people entering the town. Sound of doors slamming is heard all over town, and people stare at the group from their windows.
Random Kid: Who are they, Daddy?
Random Man: Those are bad guys, son… That’s the cowboy group with 6 million in bounty… The Sand Cowboys!
They walk in the middle of the street; looking for something to eat and drink.
Kace: It’s your time to pay for the food this time Catherine! I’m sick of you getting away without paying every time…
The person who complains is a big, muscular, bald man named Kace. He doesn’t wear anything on his upper body; showing off his tattoos and scars which are all over his body. He is also missing his left eye.
Catherine: Shut up! I’ve told before that I don’t have any money!
Catherine is a really tanned woman with a large bust. She has short blonde hair which is mostly covered by a hairband. She has green eyes, and has a scar under her right one.
Kace: That’s because you always use your money on clothes and jewelry!
A skinny, pale man starts laughing from all the shouting. He has short black hair, and blue eyes.
Kace: It’s not funny, Matt!
Slate: Just shut up all of you! I don’t want to listen to your yelling right now…
Slate is the leader of The Sand Cowboys. He has tanned skin, brown hair and brown eyes. He wears a traditional cowboy hat, and a long, opened white shirt.
Slate: Look, there’s a saloon…
He points at Mia’s saloon. Outside is Mia sweeping leaves and dirt from the ground, and suddenly notices them coming towards her.
Slate: Are you the barkeeper? We want something to eat…
She looks at them from head to toe, and recognizes them immediately.
Mia: We don’t serve people like you…
Slate: …What did you say?
-The scene switches to outside the town-
Skylar turns around; noticing how quiet the town became. He gets a feeling something is about to happen.
Luke: Skylar! Are you coming!?
Wind and birds are heard around them, and it takes a moment before Skylar answers.
Skylar: Yeah! (Weird…)
He takes on his backpack which is now full with new supplies, and starts running toward Luke and Alice who are standing on a small hill.
Luke: A shame we didn’t get to be in this town any longer…
They all look at Lisfro before walking towards the capital Sago.
-The scene switches back to the saloon-
Mia falls to the ground with bruises in her face. She doesn’t stand a chance against all 4 of them at once. She tries to stand up, but gets punched down again.
Slate: …So you are on the government’s side…?
She wipes off blood from under her eye.
Mia: …I-I never said that…
Slate: Being against a cowboy is the same as supporting the government…
The leader Slate looks at the saloon behind Mia in disgust.
Kace: What do you want to do, Slate? This barkeeper doesn’t want to make food for us…
Slate slowly walks towards the saloon while Mia is watching him from the ground. He takes up a lighter, and turns it on.
Slate: Let’s … burn it down…
