They told us... that it was over... they said... no more... that the enemy that plauged us for almost 20 years.... was finally defeated with Cappali's actions. that humanity would have hope... that the Chimera a race of parastic and extre terrstial and even inter terrstial alien speicies. was over and done on earth.
that year... was 1956.... the chimera brought us to our knees and almost to death. they used human bodies with crawlers to infect and create HYBRIDS and other MONSTRUSTIES. There was no reason, there was no hope. the SENTINILES we're the only ones that could go toe to toe with the beasts. ALL attempts in the back days was futile in hopes of defeating the enemy. For they warped earth somewhere else... somewhere near them. we did not figure it out in time... that they.... put us near their home world.
Thats when we as a whole decided to take up a true defence together. this time we were ready. using their own gear, their own weapons. we fought back with a more better chance of victory. it was so close, and we even made adjustments to their gear to suit us. Their fallen BATTLESHIPS... those damn menaces played in our favor. reverse enginering them was a challange... but in the end.... we succeeded. along with their fighters, their metal. Using what we knew we fought them off. but... they.... they sent somthing from their home planet. a virus... a terrible plauge. there used be 3 billion now... was reduced to 800 million.
Left with no choice... we geared up and fled with ravaged tech and stolen supplies. occasionly making a stop at a DEAD planet. were we would gather minerals, and resources. the CHIMERAN EMPIRE, seem to never let prey go. the LAST BASTION met a group of Eliminators at Alpha Centari system. there they engage and send them on retreat.
now... the tough battle begins. the battle for Beta centari now called Vishnu. The Last Bastion begin preperations for a ground assualt.

Iblis moves and gets his rifle off the weapon hanger, he grabs his gear and runs through the CALNUS gearing up for the ground assualt. his brother Diva is probably getting ready for the bomber operations. his squad known as the Bandits of the moon is legendary for their bombing. he sits down in his drop pod with his team. a computer flashes a hologram in their room.
MISSION: secure foot hold.
