[Question] The message is too short

Well, this really makes sense on the forum posts; as one word replies are already against the rules so writing 2-3 words won't be a biggie. But in visitor messages that's a different case. Profiles are for personal use and for most of us the only means to communicate one-to-one with friends, and you don't want to write: ....... in every VM just to make up the limit, it is like writing your actual message and spamming rest of the part. It will be very nice if we had it turned back to three characters for visitor messages, or make it at-least 8-9 characters, perfect to write "Thank you".

But the settings in vBulletin did not let me choose where to add this and where to ignore this setting, so til I find a plugin or mod that will allow me to set this for only the forum and limit it to some sections, everything will become much more pleasant and easier for us all. But til that happens, we will have this activated as it helps us keep the discussions more serious.

About the VM part, It's not a good thing to have it there I agree with that. But the settings in vBulletin did not let me choose where to add this and where to ignore this setting, so til I find a plugin or mod that will allow me to set this for only the forum and limit it to some sections, everything will become much more pleasant and easier for us all. Yes, It has no value what so ever when people type stuff like that. I would prefer of people actually elaborate their thoughts in a discussion and say why they agree, instead of being so lazy.

If you can find a plugin for the VM situation that will be great! And what about the game section?

I don't have a problem with it, not even in the VM xd It's not like I can't arrive to the 15 characters It will prevent boring replies xd Besides I'm very talkative when it comes to VM xd

I have to say this is really great for many of us who like to discuss things in-depth, or for a member who is asking an important question and tends to end up with unimportant 1 word replies.
