Now shortly after, they up'd his power by him attaining the control of haki. After this his next main fight is on fishman island. On fishman island, Madame sees a vision with luffy so called destroying fishman island(this is ofcourse wrong but the exact events on what WILL occur is another convo) which in the background displays a wall of fire.. THAT IS A HUGE HINT!! Although he ended up beating hordy with haki embued attacks he had a tough time.. Now the next big hint was during "One Piece Film:Z". After defeating the strawhats, Z holds luffy up and asks him once again "Do you think u can become pirate king with this power alone?". Once Again there is A WALL OF FIRE behind them.. Another hint is the move "Red Hawk". This move is basically a teaser letting us know how they plan on adding ace's power with luffys. He uses this attack twice on fishman island and once on punk hazard. It is almost garunteed that he will get that fruit..
Now another thing is the fact that i honestly think that luffy is able to eat another devil fruit. Jus think about black beard. He and luffy both are very durable, both can take extreme damage and survive.. Also they both have devil fruit powers they may help in the process of attaining two df powers. The power of darkness absorbs everything in including pain.. Now so does rubber.. With out haki u cant fight luffy nor a logia like blackbeard( He is a logia if u dont think so then stop watching one piece) . Also rubber allows luffy body to past limits of a NORMAL BODY.. Becuz of his df it allows him to go in 2nd gear which is already sumtin NO normal person can do. So please stop ignoring the fact that luffy is not normal.. And this wouldnt be the first time he does sumtin thats considered suicide.
