Kuriarare Kushimaru was revived by edo wearing a mask
Torune was revived by edo wearing a mask

therefore; if madara is the one fighting with minato and talking to itachi before the uchiha massacre then why he is not wearing any mask when he was being revived by edo? did kabuto removed his mask?

i think tobi/obito is the one who fight minato and talked to itachi. We hope next chapter they show the link or timeline between the time of madara and obito. Maybe the last chapter(madara and obito) is their first meeting.

Ok for the above post, for your info KURIARARE KUSHIMARU was one of the 7 swordsmen who was being revived by edo wearing a mask.

For the topic, if you were revived by edo it means that your last appearance when you died will be shown, like your wearing a mask or being wrapped. I only show that the man behind the mask fighting minato was not madara because he did not revived by edo wearing any mask.

For the correlation of the mask and identity of the person who fought minato, if you look at the mask there is only one hole and that is place at the right side of the eye. Why there is only one hole? because of obito's kamui is on the right side. The mask use by the person who fought minato and the mask guy before he acquired the rinnegan were the same in terms of the mask hole because of kamui. Thats why only obito will be the best person whom you can relate to the mask man who fought minato.

I don't know for sure either... but i assume the mask man is Obito...
but if that is so, then why Minato could'nt recognize him??...
Maybe because Obito had been infuse with some Hashirama DNA /
Zetsu's cell...

But i also have a doubt about this theory because
when Minato fought with the mask man, he treat him as a complete
stranger... he also not believe that the mask man is Madara...

Some says that Manito is not a sensory type shinobi, so he can't recognize
Obito chakra... but i don't think Minato's intituion is that weak...
Even if he can't feel the chakra, he still have a strong bond with Obito,
so he can at least guess it to be Obito... although he must not believe it completely
because he know that Obito is already died in the previous war...

The Masked Man during the 9-tails attack was Obito for sure
i watched the flashback and it looks just like him
the time frame makes sense because the only thing that tobi did was kumai, which could be mastered with MS
the 1 1/2 year time gap is more than enough, think of naruto -- he only trained for 2 years
if you look carefully, tobi at that time wasn't THAT strong
