As much as it may rattle your dome, some people think this technique actually has any bearing in a fight. I would just like to pool all the many fails of Amaterasu and show why it is, indeed, a garbage attack.

Amatearsu + Chidori combination attack can only stalemate Base Naruto's Rasengan (which also further emphasizes that Rasengan >> Chidori, but that's for another thread). Bear in mind this not even Big Ball Rasengan or Sage Art: Rasengan. It's just a stock Rasengan.

Was also rendered useless by the Juubi, Killer Bee, and I'm sure a host of others. Bottom line - Amaterasu is fodder and fool's play. Plus you have all the time in the world as proven by Karin to go home, take a shower, grab a quick sandwich, hit the gym, mack on some hotties at the club, and get a full 8 hours of sleep before using this jutsu, which even genin know, to render it null and void completely.

But Naruto did add WRS on one of the TSB vs Indra arrow, had two vs one, and full mount senjutsu = to that of the bijuu's combined chakra (which all together is basically nature itself confirmed when naruto tried to scale the juubi's chakra), etc.

Naruto had many advantages vs Indra arrow powered by juubi's chakra but just regular lightning, if he had added anything else then gg Naruto.
