If too many of the K11 died, their deaths would not be as meaningful. The fact that Neji died gave Naruto some character development. I don't think killing another one is necessary.

Like in OP, they killed Ace and WB and that's it. Marco and pretty much everybody else survived. Killing anybody else wouldn't do anything to the story and would take the tension away from WB and Ace's death.

If anything, Oonoki and Tsunade should die.

Kishi's killed a ton of characters but they've almost all been super irrelevant fodder who we've never seen. That's why it feels like a little. More than half of SAs 80k has been killed but we've never seen the face of most of them.

If he would kill characters when they are at their prime it surely could be more interesting... like Kiba, we haven't seen any development of him rly, and I doubt we will. And you can't blame Kishi, it's just the design of the character rly, now he sticks around but never progresses. If he had killed him at some point in the past it might have been quite interesting...
Other characters like neji though could have progressed a bit more... dunno...
