Exactly there is one only possible explanation Kaguya got impregnated BEFORE she ate forbidden fruit, so after eating it her loved man become not important or he may died in fight so it was trigger for Kaguya to reach for forbidden fruit to stop wars and stop bloodshed but instead sadly she became power-hungry/chakra obsesive.

IN Hagoromo's example it may be the same that he had once lover but she was killed, most likely by Juubi going at rampge or she got assisnated while Hagoromo was traveling to teach everyone about Ninshu. It is also possible that she died right after giving birth to Indra and Ashura.
