For those who haven't see this documentary, check it out. The title says all. It's about a man named Chito who swims and plays with a croc named Pocho. It all started 24 years ago when Chito found a crocodile that had been shot by a farmer. For three years, he nurtured the crocodile back to life and full health. The crocodile grew so quickly during this time that Chito decided to name the crocodile "Pocho" which means "strength". Afterwards, he released Pocho in a river system adjacent to his home. However, waking up next morning, Chito saw Pocho sleeping on his veranda. He tried releasing him again but the same thing happened, not only once, but many times. That just conveys the deep bond Chito has with Pocho. It's a special human-animal relationship that we rarely see. There have been many cases where trainers have been attacked by animals that they've raised (some that even occurs after 10 years of interaction with the animal). Here, Chito has played, cared and nurtured the crocodile for more than 20 years. He says Pocho will never attack him - he has full trust in him.

Anyway, I won't reveal anymore. You have to watch this amazing story to believe your eyes. It's touched my heart and I'm sure you'll feel that way too.

This doesn't mean that crocodiles are kind, loving reptiles btw. This documentary just conveys that humans can form deep bonds with animals that we never thought could interact it. What are your thoughts on the relationship Chito and Pocho shares with each other? What are your general thoughts on this kind of association between humans and animals? Do you support it? Do you find it crazy? Feel free to share your opinions. I'll respect it, either ways.

+1 to humanity

I watched it this afternoon on TV, it was really cool, now he's teaching her daughter how to handle Pocho for when her father dies.
