The "Legendary" Sannin

Has any else noticed the "Legendary" part in the Sannin name? So why did kishi make them seem so sucky. According to Narutopedia Sannin were all Kage Level, which we've seen it in Orochimaru, but not very much in Tsunade or Jiraiya (well sort of ). I just think Kishi made them up to be more powerful then we've actually seen. Or maybe their coming together was only for the next generation of sannin (Naruto,Sasuke, and Sakura) . What are your thoughts on the matter?

Hanzo Prime was one of the strongest of his time which is a massive feat considering the 3rd Raikage and Hiruzen were also alive at this time

The fact that they were all up for Hokage at some point and have fought at high levels against Kage level opponents, means they are all Kage level :sy:

*Jiraiya: fought on par agaisn't 3 paths of Pain which in Kakashi (low kage level) needed help from choza and choji to take 2 paths..... and Kakashi died, choza injured and choji fled....... Jiraiya is definitely on kage level and stands tall to his legend.

*Tsunade: EVEN THOUGH SHE'S NOT A BATTLE TYPE NINJA, SHE'S STANDING HER GROUND BETTER THAN A, MEI AND EVEN GAARA IN THIS FIGHT AGAISNT MADARA (Who is 2 or 3 level above all kages). SO YES, TSUNADE STANDS FOR HER LEGEND VERY WELL.

Hanzo gave them that title, to show his respect for them, which is saying something.
Tsunade is holding her own against Madara while healing the other Kages and was even healing the village during the Pein attack. She is regarded as the best Healer in the world.
Jiraiya was a good match against Nagato, but let's face it, Nagato was exceptionally strong. Jiraiya actually deserves credit for holding his own so long against a Rinnegan user. Also he learnt Sage mode (even though with the help of Pa and Ma) which not everybody can do.
So no they don't suck in my opinion. It's just that the new generation always surpasses the former one.

Orochimaru is Legend, probably one of the most powerful shinobi, he used Edo Tensei and incredible powers there is no doubt he stands up for his name. He is a master of snake jutsu, wind and earth jutsu i think and he even killed the 3rd Kazekage or was it the 4th Kazekage with ease.

Tsunade is the current Hokage, she is fighting against Madara atm, and she has unbelievable strength and her slugs are powerful. besides this if it wasnt for her, Konoha would have been whiped out with no survivors, and she fought against Hanzo with Jiraiya & Orochimaru all of them survived.

Jiraiya: Learned Sage Mode, Toad summoning, Epic Fire/Earth jutsu, crushed a giant snake with a single move, fought against Hanzo where they all earned the title after Hanzo who was considered one of the top tier shinobi of his time. He also fought Pein and killed 3 paths (1 of them twice) with no knowledge at all, and considering that he could possible/maybe have even defeated Pein if he had all the knowledge. Even NAruto had trouble fighting Pein, even with knowledge.

I think all the LEgendary Sannin definately stand up to their name (mostly Jiraiya) and I hoped that both Jiraiya & Orochimaru would survive all the way and fight in the current war....

I'm in no mood to argue but all three of te Sannin are Kage level, Hanzo in his Prime defeated the 3 Sannin and he was said to be the strongest at the time. I don't really know which Kages were reigning at the time.

I know it was Hiruzen for sure, others might be the Oonoki, 3rd Raikage, 3rd Kazekage and Mizukage. All of those ninjas were extremely powerful.

They are strong. Their name is feared and respected in narutoverse.

Tsunade- The strongest female ninja, the best medical ninja. She is half Uzumaki, half Senju. Her physycal immense strenght is unrivaled.
Jiraiya- Sage Mode, poweful techs, genjutsu, etc.
Orochimaru- Edo Tensei, Kusanagi, snakes, etc.

Sorry but this thread is kinda fail, no bitchiness included.

Tsunade: Best kunoichi in the Narutoverse, half Uzumaki half Senju, tremendous raw strenght enhanced with chakra it becomes brute strenght, best healing techniques, made the medical system in the ninja wars, unparalleled when it comes to medical ninjutsu. Katsuyu. Able to heal an entire village isn't kage level to you? Show me anyone who can do that.

Orochimaru: Great ninjutsu, master of several ninjutsus as he wanted to get to know all of the world tecniques, sword of Kusanagi, Manda.

Jiraya: great taijutsu user, teacher to 3 of the best generation of pupils (minato, nagato, naruto), mastered Rasengan, Sage Mode, extremely intelligent when it comes to collecting data, fought almost one of the most feared Shinobis in Narutoverse, being one of his pupil, not even being in his prime.

So, no, they both stand up to their names and are well ballanced.

Legendary Sannin means the Legendary Three (as San means three in japaneese), 3 legendary ninja who were able to survive the most feared enemy from Narutoverse at that time. Up to now their skills are unparalleled. Excluding over-powered Naruto, Sasuke, Madara. (As a matter of fact we're seeing Tsunade kicking Madara's ass at a point)
