I believe the Sannin are capable of winning too, but I'm still on the fence

I'm looking at Enma as being the kicker in the summons department, seeing as he was able to literally knock the ninetails back out of the village in the flashback, not to mention that nasty Salamander and Kakuzu's hearts. I think the decision goes to Sannin if Jiraiya enters HM and uses the audio genjutsu. Otherwise I think it's a one way ticket for team elders.

oro was nowhere near serious. i didnt see hiruzen fight hydra or thousand snakes or manda

he showed disbelief at hanzo losing, despite there being beings like orochimaru, itachi, 5 kage and kisame around

had it been just him and not edo kages, and they werent in a barrier, id say hiruzen would have won

Sadly had to double post, but Oro was definitely serious. To call out Shodaime/Nidaime, cannot be considered anything but serious. They were trapped in the barrier as well, remember? Or Orochimaru would have been overwhelmed by sheer numbers. That throws out the snakes. He was 100% serious, but he was greedy and arrogant.

We have to consider P.1 Power Scaling - P.2 Power Scaling as well. Hiruzen was shown with nearly nothing, as well as Hashirama and Tobirama because of the fact that he hadn't thought through how powerful the characters were going to become.

Also, I would in no way say that Kakuzu would be the weakest on Team Elders, I actually believe it to be Hiruzen, and I'm his fanboy. His stamina is in question, which would be a massive problem because Team Sannin are all stamina-whores.

oro was basically standing around talking most of the time and laughing. he summoned tobirama to fuk with hiruzens mind. same reason asuma is in kabutos army.

not a big help? he can shrug off 90% of the sannins attacks with earth spear. the other 10% get a faceful of false darkness.

Well yes but both of thoes things happened decades ago, The Sannin are much more powerful and Hiruzen is much LESS powerful.

Hiruzen is the dead weight comparatively, but not at all dead weight. Capable of dealing with any of the Sannin head on.

@SSJFutureTrunks -- It was said that Orochimaru didn't perfect Edo Tensei, we don't know what that means exactly, but could it be that he had to exert control over them, similar to the Bijuu/Tobi incident? Nobody can EVER use the "Not being serious" argument, because they are being serious. He had Hiruzen trapped, and was playing with his prey. It backfired, and both Hiruzen and Orochimaru lost. His fault for being arrogant, and it still doesn't change the result. Thus, Hiruzen = Orochimaru, especially without the help of Shodaime/Nidaime Hokage.

Hiruzen is taking massive hate because of oro except if u acctualt read tht part the anbu state his age takes away clones but he still fought the kage andt beat the first and second who by the way ems madara couldn't when the first could die, and while oro heals kaboti states they went after best kage at the time so better than anyone tht fought edo madara and to me tht includes tsu since she aint the srrongest of them, so kishi already had him beat 2 since uf he didn't fight edos in this set up worst case he negates oro.

On the record I'm not a 3rd fan boy I just s wut is on paper and when going over kagr mountain side iruka tlks to class telling them how he is seen as strongest hokage or kage and did I mention he was 69 and kaze is hyped but yet not tht strong. And to put it in respect to hydra manta they were in a barrier so no mass destruction. But if oro killed gaaras father and men how powerful is he in kage respect
