Gaara: I don't know, but this really is bad. It's like an hour or so since we received the distress call from Inoichi, and judging by the people Kabuto has summoned, the alliance are heavily outnumbered in strength.
Killerbee: If we only could have anticipated this before, they wouldn't have needed to send more people to reinforce us-...
Racing through the forest with a major part of the reinforcement that was originally sent to assist them at Kabuto's hideout, Sasuke, Killerbee and Gaara began to fear the worst.
Sakura: Damn, this can't be happening... Just how many Edo Tensei has Kabuto prepared anyways??
Darui: It's hard to say, but we must find a way to stop him and end this once and for all.
Ao: I just hope they manage to hold on until we get there, just a little while longer, till we get there...
Gai: How could we be so naive, most of the best skilled shinobi of the alliance is here with us, and Kakashi is in no condition to fight at his best.
Jiraiya: I'm sure they are fine! They have Yamato-Sensei, and Hiruzen and Mito there too. If things go terrible wrong, they might even convince that Akashi guy to join side with us too...
Sasuke: Should not be long left now, right?!
Gaara: Righ-t... It should be just up ahead now, at the end of this forest, then we'll see the headquarter from the hill in the distance.
Sasuke: Good.
Reaching for his pocket, Sasuke picked up a scroll as he held it in his hand, thinking about its content.
Killerbee: What is that scroll? Never mind, we should roll.
Sasuke: This scroll... After Naruto and I moved into the next chamber in Kabuto's hideout, Naruto gave me this as he told me to us it only in the most dire situation, but only then. He didn't manage to tell me what it was before we entered the chamber where Suigetsu was...
Gaara: ...
Sasuke: If the situation is very bad when we get there... I might have to use it.
Gaara: When we get there... We don't know if they've managed to hold them back, we-...
Killerbee: Believe in your allies you fool, keep your head cool!
Gaara: I'm just saying... If Kabuto summoned those Kages which Inoichi mentioned, then I fear the worst might have happened... The 3rd Kazekage alone, was the strongest in my village's history.
Sasuke: We're almost there now, I can see the end of the forest!

Racing out of the forest and into the plains ahead of them, the reinforcement group raced towards the hill and halted on top of it, as a fierce battlefield met their eyes.
Sasuke: ?!
Gaara: Over there! Let's not waste anymore time!
Sasuke: Right!
A little further ahead of them, the battle they were racing towards to assist, had already been going on for some time, and like Gaara was beginning to fear, the headquarter was already in the most dire of situations.
Tsunade: Come on god damn it, don't give up on me old man!
A: He's... There's nothing you can do Tsunade, Onoki is...
Tsunade: No, not yet, not like this! I couldn't help Mei-... I won't let Onoki die too!
Mifune: We can't let our guard down, we've only managed to defeat one of them so far! Look around you, people are dying, this is war Tsunade!
A: Kabuto you bastard, you're just playing with us, aren't you?!
As he said, the 3rd Kazekage stepped forward from the line of Edo Tensei, as the rest of the Kages were waiting... waiting for the order to strike.
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): Princess Tsunade... You should realize by now that he's dead... And you all will soon be too! Kehehe-ahahaha! There's nothing you can do to stop me now! When I'm finished here, I'll let Naruto get a taste of these ones as well! I must say though, that you guys did a good job sealing the 1st Tsuchikage... If I hadn't transferred my mind over here from Kakashi's fight, you might have gotten the upper-hand here. Now you know I can't let that happen, *smirk.* Though you still got seven Edo Kages more to go, and it's only the three of you left who can fight! Look around you, it's over!
Tsunade: It's not over you scum! The alliance will never falter to the likes of you, never! As long as we can still fight, we will oppose you to the end!
The scenery around them showed signs of an epic battle being fought, as several allied shinobi laid dead on the ground, and the few left standing were severely hurt. On the ground further up ahead, laid the body of Mei, Shikaku, Choza and Inoichi, while Yamato was badly injured.
Yamato: Tsunade! We can't lose hope now, you're right, we must fight to the end! We must stall as long as we can, until Naruto and the rest can defeat the real Kabuto and end this technique!
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): So you're still standing I see, you annoying little brat! Let do something about that!
As he said, the 3rd Kazekage charged at Yamato at rapid speed, trying to finish him off.
Tsunade: Yamato!
Yamato: ?!
*Cling*
Sasuke: Not so fast!
Mifune: Allied reinforcement!
Jumping in from a distance, Sasuke managed to come between the 3rd Kazekage and Yamato to intercept the attack, as the rest of the reinforcement quickly followed.
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): So you decided to arrive as well I see... Very well then, the time for rest is over I suppo-...?! Sasuke you, you're fast!
Jumping back towards the rest of the Edo Tensei to get some space, Kabuto got caught off surprise as Sasuke fired up Susanoo and launched the Sword of Totsuka right through the 3rd Kazekage's body. Just as he was about to get sealed away completely, Kabuto managed to switch body, as his mind suddenly swapped to the 1st Mizukage's body instead.
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Now that wasn't very nice of you, Sasuke-Kun...
Sasuke: This ends now Kabuto, play time is over...
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): I suppose you're right, Sasuke-Kun, *Smirk.*
Standing back in line with the rest of the Edo Tensei, Kabuto readied himself to launch them all right at the allied reinforcement, as Sasuke reached for his pocket and rolled out the scroll he had, on the ground in front of him.
Sasuke: Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)!
Gaara: ...
Killerbee: !!
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Oh... So you did have something up your sleeve, Naruto-Kun, I'm impressed... Though another Sage Clone I suppose? So your new limit wasn't six after all...
Summoned right in front of Sasuke, stood suddenly Naruto himself!
Naruto Sage Clone: I knew you were lying the moment you said you had summoned the last Edo Tensei, Kabuto... I knew you were trying to pull something off...
Sasuke: So this is what the scroll did huh... Well I guess this evens the odds a bit.
Gaara: I can't believe Kabuto has done so much damage, Onoki and Mei, are they?-...
Tsunade: Yes... I-...
Killerbee: Brother, are you alright??
A: I'll manage, now let's give this bitch a taste of his own medicine!
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Whoa, easy now... Hang on just a minute there brute... This makes things very interesting indeed... Now we're fighting two battles against each other at the same time Naruto, *Smirk.* Now that you are here too, let's have a small talk... You guys probably have a lot to catch up on after all... I must say, I'm impressed that the three of you managed to deal with Ryu, Nobunaga and Suigetsu that fast... Naruto and I's fight has just barely begun after all, right Naruto-Kun?

As he said, the seven Edo Tensei reactivated, charging at the alliance as Kabuto left the 1st Mizukage's body.

As Sakumo were just about to charge at Kakashi at full speed with his Piercing Hurricane Strike, Kakashi unleashed the power of his newly gained Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and his trademark Kamui, attempting to end the battle the only way he could.
Sakumo (Kabuto Thinking): I can't let him hit me with that, if he warps Sakumo's body to another dimension, it's all over! And if that happens while I'm in total control of this body...
Kakashi's new eye began to bleed as Sakumo's body began vibrating while he was still charging right towards Kakashi, without showing any attempt at halting, or avoiding the Kamui.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Not so fast! Kaze-Shunshin no jutsu (Wind-Body Flicker Technique)!
Just as it seemed like Kakashi's Kamui was working and Sakumo slowly began to disappear into the other dimension, he then suddenly reappeared beside himself, as the image of his body being hit by the Kamui was still hanging in the air.
Kakashi: Body Flicker Technique?? Shit!
In matter of seconds, Sakumo appeared right beside Kakashi, attempting to strike at him with the Hurricane Strike, as Kakashi barely dodged the attack and followed up with an attack of his own.
Kakashi: Raikiri!
The two of them started exchanging blows, aiming to hit each other with their element infused hands, while blocking and guarding with the other. After a few rounds, Kakashi managed to snare Sakumo's shoulder as he was forced to jump back.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Heh, I can see that you're able to read my moves better now, now that you've got yourself a Sharingan again... But I won't let you get the upper-hand!
Kakashi: My turn! Raijū Hashiri no Jutsu (Lightning Beast Running Technique)!
Sending out a lightning charged attack in the form of a hound, Kakashi sought to numb Sakumo's body in order to seal him away to another dimension. The attack went straight for Sakumo, but Sakumo managed to dodge it easily due to his speed, as he jumped to the side and went straight for Kakashi's rear.
Kakashi: Not so fast!
Steering the hound around after Sakumo at even faster speed, and catching him off guard in the process, Sakumo had no time to react as he took the attack dead on.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Ugh!
Kakashi: This ends now!
Pulling forth a scroll, Kakashi then bit his thumb as he smeared his blood across it, before performing some quick hand-seals. Kakashi then slammed his hand to the ground and shouted out-...
Kakashi: Kuchiyose; Doton: Tsuiga no Jutsu (Summoning; Earth Style: Fanged Vengeance Technique)!
Sakumo (Static Voice): What?!
Erupting from the ground were eight ninja hounds, as they all confined Sakumo's body, restricting his movement.
Sakumo (Static Voice): When did you place your blood marking on me??
Kakashi: Doesn't matter... All that matter now, is that this fight is over!
Sakumo (Static Voice): Do you really think that sending this Edo Tensei to another dimension is going to stop anything??
Kakashi: That Edo Tensei you're speaking off... is my father!
Sakumo (Static Voice): My, oh my, such anger... Heh, I might lose control over him, but your father's soul will forever be trapped in this body, in that space... And if you try to retrieve him afterwards, I'll just retake charge over him. So unless-...
Kakashi: Someone forces you to undo the technique... Which is something I believe Naruto will be able to achieve-...
Sakumo (Static Voice): !!
Kakashi: And when that happens, my father will be at peace again... Kamui!

Just as Sakumo's body began to transfer to the other dimension through Kakashi's Kamui, Kabuto hurried up as he left the body in order to not get his mind dragged along for the ride. In that last seconds, Sakumo managed to tell his son one last word...
Kakashi: Father I couldn't protect him, I'm so sorry, I-...
Sakumo: You did what you could... It is over now son.
Kakashi: I will free your soul from this curse dad, I give you my word!
Sakumo: Until then...
With a smile of confident on his face, Sakumo vanished into the other dimension.
Kakashi: It's done... *Pant*
Hiruzen and Mito (In Unison): Kakashi-Sensei!
Witnessing the end of the battle from afar, the two of them came running in towards him, as Kakashi slowly fell to his knees from exhaustion.
Mito: Kakashi-Sensei, are you alright?! You look a bit-...
Kakashi: *Pant* I'm fine... It's over now... And you're safe... That's what matters now...
Hiruzen: You did it! I had no doubt that you would win Sensei, but your brother... I'm so sorry...
As Hiruzen moved in to heal his wounds, the barrier around them began to crumble, as it turned into several microscopical particles.
Kakashi: Ugh!
Hiruzen: ?!
Starting to cough really bad, Kakashi fell over as he landed on his stomach.
Hiruzen: Whoa, you got to take it easy, you're totally burnt out.
Kakashi: You two listen to me... You need to notify the head-quarter of what happened here... Yamato-... There must be a reason why he hasn't returned yet. Kabuto said something about reviving previous Kages to attack them, we need to-... we need-...
Mito: Kakashi-Sensei?!
Kakashi: You two do that... I just need to lay down for a minute-...
Falling unconscious due to total exhaustion, Kakashi's eyes closed as Hiruzen and Mito looked upon each other with confused looks.
Hiruzen: He's passed out...
Mito: Okay you heard him, we need to do something.
Hiruzen: You're right!
Mito: Okay, this is what we'll do. I'll head back to the head-quarter, while you'll stay here by Kakashi-Sensei's side. If I'm not back by 20 minutes, you'll try to reach out for the others, okay?
Hiruzen: No, I'll go instead, I'm much faster than you, and if anything were to happen to you, I-...
Mito: Hiruzen, you're the medical shinobi here, someone got to watch over Kakashi-Sensei. Can you handle that for me??
Hiruzen: I... Yes, I understand, but be careful out there and don't get hurt!
Mito: I will, don't worry.
Standing up to her feet, Mito slowly turned around as she was just about to leap off in the direction of the head-quarter. With her hand still lingering in the air, she felt someone grabbing on to it as Hiruzen got up too and pulled her close to him.
Mito: Hiruzen, what ar-...?!
Before she realized what just happened, their lips came together as Hiruzen kissed her for the first time, passionately.
Hiruzen: ...If you get yourself killed out there, I'll forever blame myself for not being able to protect you. Mito I-... I love you. I had to say it while I still can, while I still have you within my reach... I-...
Mito: I know... And the truth is, I've been feeling the same...
Hiruzen: ?! You do?? I thought-... But what about Jira-...

As the final Edo Kage was sealed by Sasuke, his Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror slowly disappeared, together with the rest of his Susanoo. A fierce battle had taken place, and it had craved many lives among the alliance. Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara and Killerbee were the only ones left battling, as the rest whom were still alive and were too exhausted to fight, had retreated a couple of yards away with Gaara and Killerbee, standing in defensive position. Meanwhile, Naruto and Sasuke had dealt with the last two Edo Kages, as blood were spilled everywhere and the voice of agony, pain and sorrow roared through the air.
Sakura: I can't believe it... I-...
Sasuke: Don't cry, this is the outcome of war, and people will die... You can't save them all Sakura!
Sakura: I-... I-... Tsunade is-...
Naruto Sage Clone: Sasuke is right... There's nothing more we can do for them...
Gai: Damn...
Killerbee: Brother...
Darui: He's gone Bee... Shee too damn it...
Gaara: I could have, Baki he-.....
Temari: Just don't Gaara...
Jiraiya: Damn it, damn it all, ugh... We need... Hiruzen and Mito... We need to go help Kakashi-Sensei, ugh!
Falling to his knees due to exhaustion, Jiraiya could no longer keep himself up standing.

Tears began to stream down Temari's chin as Sasuke stepped forward.
Sasuke: We need to get this situation under control, Mito, what happened?
Mito: Hiruzen he's... He's with Kakashi-Sensei, the two of them are alright. Kakashi managed to overcome Sakumo and sealed him away with his Kamui.
Gai: His Kamui, but how, his Sharingan was-...?
Mito: It's a long story! Kakashi passed out due to exhaustion, but Akashi... He's... he was killed in battle.
Gaara: One of many I'm afraid...
Yamato: We should head over there to assist Kakashi and Hiruzen!
Naruto Sage Clone: You're right...
Jiraiya: I'll head over there to help Kakashi-Sensei back on his feet.

Naruto Sage Clone: Yep, I should transfer my chakra and knowledge back to him as the battle here is over. But hurry, I think I know a way to beat Kabuto now... If I only can get that barrier down.
With that, the clone disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Gaara: I don't know if it's such a good idea to send too many, I'll stay behind too, together with Darui, to make sure things go right.
Killerbee: Yeah, good point, I'll help you out while Sasuke can take charge over the reinforcement squad.
Sasuke: Right, I'll head out at once. Let's go!
Sasuke rose to his feet again after taking a short break, as he went past the few standing members of the alliance, and walked slowly over to the other side of a crater in the ground. Several shinobi gathered behind him, as they leaped off at great speed.
Gai: We should go as well then.
Jiraiya: Yeah, what are we waiting for, let's go!
Leaping ahead of the rest, Gai, Sakura, Mito and Temari quickly followed.
Gaara: I guess that leaves us then.
Killerbee: Yeah...
Darui: I can't believe we lost so many in this battle, the past Kages were really strong indeed... Tsunade, Mei, Onoki, A, Mifune, Shikaku, Inoichi, Choza, Akashi, Ao, Neji, Baki, Shee, Tenten, Kiba, Karui, Omoi, Jugo, Shino, and the list goes on... And they were only a part of those who've died today. When this is over, we have to make sure we'll end the fighting for good...
Gaara: ... You're-... right. The next generation should never have to feel the pain of war.
Killerbee: Damn, you're right... Omoi and Karui too...
Still fighting to hold back their tears, Gaara set his mind to a certain task.
Gaara: Hey you, how are you coping?
Yamanaka Clan Member: I'm... I can't believe Kabuto managed to take down this many of us... If we only were prepared for this... Even Shikaku and Inoichi...
Gaara: That's exactly why I need your assistance now... With Inoichi gone, I need someone to-... to... to notify the rest of the alliance... to notify Shikamaru, Konohamaru, Kankuro and the rest... You think you can do that for me?

Gaara went on together with the Yamanaka clan member, to send out a message to the others. Back in Kabuto's hideout however, Naruto was still fighting the eight Konoha affiliated Edo Tensei...

Racing through the forest with a major part of the reinforcement that was originally sent to assist them at Kabuto's hideout, Sasuke, Killerbee and Gaara began to fear the worst.
Sakura: Damn, this can't be happening... Just how many Edo Tensei has Kabuto prepared anyways??
Darui: It's hard to say, but we must find a way to stop him and end this once and for all.
Ao: I just hope they manage to hold on until we get there, just a little while longer, till we get there...
Gai: How could we be so naive, most of the best skilled shinobi of the alliance is here with us, and Kakashi is in no condition to fight at his best.
Jiraiya: I'm sure they are fine! They have Yamato-Sensei, and Hiruzen and Mito there too. If things go terrible wrong, they might even convince that Akashi guy to join side with us too...

Killerbee: Believe in your allies you fool, keep your head cool!

Racing out of the forest and into the plains ahead of them, the reinforcement group raced towards the hill and halted on top of it, as a fierce battlefield met their eyes.
Sasuke: ?!
Gaara: Over there! Let's not waste anymore time!
Sasuke: Right!
A little further ahead of them, the battle they were racing towards to assist, had already been going on for some time, and like Gaara was beginning to fear, the headquarter was already in the most dire of situations.
Tsunade: Come on god damn it, don't give up on me old man!
A: He's... There's nothing you can do Tsunade, Onoki is...
Tsunade: No, not yet, not like this! I couldn't help Mei-... I won't let Onoki die too!
Mifune: We can't let our guard down, we've only managed to defeat one of them so far! Look around you, people are dying, this is war Tsunade!
A: Kabuto you bastard, you're just playing with us, aren't you?!
As he said, the 3rd Kazekage stepped forward from the line of Edo Tensei, as the rest of the Kages were waiting... waiting for the order to strike.
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): Princess Tsunade... You should realize by now that he's dead... And you all will soon be too! Kehehe-ahahaha! There's nothing you can do to stop me now! When I'm finished here, I'll let Naruto get a taste of these ones as well! I must say though, that you guys did a good job sealing the 1st Tsuchikage... If I hadn't transferred my mind over here from Kakashi's fight, you might have gotten the upper-hand here. Now you know I can't let that happen, *smirk.* Though you still got seven Edo Kages more to go, and it's only the three of you left who can fight! Look around you, it's over!
Tsunade: It's not over you scum! The alliance will never falter to the likes of you, never! As long as we can still fight, we will oppose you to the end!
The scenery around them showed signs of an epic battle being fought, as several allied shinobi laid dead on the ground, and the few left standing were severely hurt. On the ground further up ahead, laid the body of Mei, Shikaku, Choza and Inoichi, while Yamato was badly injured.
Yamato: Tsunade! We can't lose hope now, you're right, we must fight to the end! We must stall as long as we can, until Naruto and the rest can defeat the real Kabuto and end this technique!
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): So you're still standing I see, you annoying little brat! Let do something about that!
As he said, the 3rd Kazekage charged at Yamato at rapid speed, trying to finish him off.
Tsunade: Yamato!
Yamato: ?!
*Cling*
Sasuke: Not so fast!
Mifune: Allied reinforcement!
Jumping in from a distance, Sasuke managed to come between the 3rd Kazekage and Yamato to intercept the attack, as the rest of the reinforcement quickly followed.
3rd Kazekage (Static Voice): So you decided to arrive as well I see... Very well then, the time for rest is over I suppo-...?! Sasuke you, you're fast!
Jumping back towards the rest of the Edo Tensei to get some space, Kabuto got caught off surprise as Sasuke fired up Susanoo and launched the Sword of Totsuka right through the 3rd Kazekage's body. Just as he was about to get sealed away completely, Kabuto managed to switch body, as his mind suddenly swapped to the 1st Mizukage's body instead.
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Now that wasn't very nice of you, Sasuke-Kun...
Sasuke: This ends now Kabuto, play time is over...
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): I suppose you're right, Sasuke-Kun, *Smirk.*
Standing back in line with the rest of the Edo Tensei, Kabuto readied himself to launch them all right at the allied reinforcement, as Sasuke reached for his pocket and rolled out the scroll he had, on the ground in front of him.
Sasuke: Kuchiyose no Jutsu (Summoning Technique)!
Gaara: ...
Killerbee: !!
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Oh... So you did have something up your sleeve, Naruto-Kun, I'm impressed... Though another Sage Clone I suppose? So your new limit wasn't six after all...
Summoned right in front of Sasuke, stood suddenly Naruto himself!
Naruto Sage Clone: I knew you were lying the moment you said you had summoned the last Edo Tensei, Kabuto... I knew you were trying to pull something off...
Sasuke: So this is what the scroll did huh... Well I guess this evens the odds a bit.
Gaara: I can't believe Kabuto has done so much damage, Onoki and Mei, are they?-...
Tsunade: Yes... I-...
Killerbee: Brother, are you alright??
A: I'll manage, now let's give this bitch a taste of his own medicine!
1st Mizukage (Static Voice): Whoa, easy now... Hang on just a minute there brute... This makes things very interesting indeed... As Sakumo were just about to charge at Kakashi at full speed with his Piercing Hurricane Strike, Kakashi unleashed the power of his newly gained Eternal Mangekyo Sharingan, and his trademark Kamui, attempting to end the battle the only way he could.
Sakumo (Kabuto Thinking): I can't let him hit me with that, if he warps Sakumo's body to another dimension, it's all over! And if that happens while I'm in total control of this body...
Kakashi's new eye began to bleed as Sakumo's body began vibrating while he was still charging right towards Kakashi, without showing any attempt at halting, or avoiding the Kamui.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Not so fast! Kaze-Shunshin no jutsu (Wind-Body Flicker Technique)!
Just as it seemed like Kakashi's Kamui was working and Sakumo slowly began to disappear into the other dimension, he then suddenly reappeared beside himself, as the image of his body being hit by the Kamui was still hanging in the air.
Kakashi: Body Flicker Technique?? Shit!
In matter of seconds, Sakumo appeared right beside Kakashi, attempting to strike at him with the Hurricane Strike, as Kakashi barely dodged the attack and followed up with an attack of his own.
Kakashi: Raikiri!
The two of them started exchanging blows, aiming to hit each other with their element infused hands, while blocking and guarding with the other. After a few rounds, Kakashi managed to snare Sakumo's shoulder as he was forced to jump back.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Heh, I can see that you're able to read my moves better now, now that you've got yourself a Sharingan again... But I won't let you get the upper-hand!
Kakashi: My turn! Raijū Hashiri no Jutsu (Lightning Beast Running Technique)!
Sending out a lightning charged attack in the form of a hound, Kakashi sought to numb Sakumo's body in order to seal him away to another dimension. The attack went straight for Sakumo, but Sakumo managed to dodge it easily due to his speed, as he jumped to the side and went straight for Kakashi's rear.
Kakashi: Not so fast!
Steering the hound around after Sakumo at even faster speed, and catching him off guard in the process, Sakumo had no time to react as he took the attack dead on.
Sakumo (Static Voice): Ugh!
Kakashi: This ends now!
Pulling forth a scroll, Kakashi then bit his thumb as he smeared his blood across it, before performing some quick hand-seals. Kakashi then slammed his hand to the ground and shouted out-...

Sakumo (Static Voice): What?!
Erupting from the ground were eight ninja hounds, as they all confined Sakumo's body, restricting his movement.
Sakumo (Static Voice): When did you place your blood marking on me??
Kakashi: Doesn't matter... All that matter now, is that this fight is over!
Sakumo (Static Voice): Do you really think that sending this Edo Tensei to another dimension is going to stop anything??
Kakashi: That Edo Tensei you're speaking off... is my father!
Sakumo (Static Voice): My, oh my, such anger... Heh, I might lose control over him, but your father's soul will forever be trapped in this body, in that space... And if you try to retrieve him afterwards, I'll just retake charge over him. So unless-...

Sakumo: You did what you could... It is over now son.
Kakashi: I will free your soul from this curse dad, I give you my word!

With a smile of confident on his face, Sakumo vanished into the other dimension.
Kakashi: It's done... *Pant*
Hiruzen and Mito (In Unison): Kakashi-Sensei!
Witnessing the end of the battle from afar, the two of them came running in towards him, as Kakashi slowly fell to his knees from exhaustion.
Mito: Kakashi-Sensei, are you alright?! You look a bit-...
Kakashi: *Pant* I'm fine... It's over now... And you're safe... That's what matters now...
Hiruzen: You did it! I had no doubt that you would win Sensei, but your brother... I'm so sorry...
As Hiruzen moved in to heal his wounds, the barrier around them began to crumble, as it turned into several microscopical particles.
Kakashi: Ugh!
Hiruzen: ?!
Starting to cough really bad, Kakashi fell over as he landed on his stomach.
Hiruzen: Whoa, you got to take it easy, you're totally burnt out.
Kakashi: You two listen to me... You need to notify the head-quarter of what happened here... Yamato-... There must be a reason why he hasn't returned yet. Kabuto said something about reviving previous Kages to attack them, we need to-... we need-...
Mito: Kakashi-Sensei?!
Kakashi: You two do that... I just need to lay down for a minute-...
Falling unconscious due to total exhaustion, Kakashi's eyes closed as Hiruzen and Mito looked upon each other with confused looks.
Hiruzen: He's passed out...
Mito: Okay you heard him, we need to do something.
Hiruzen: You're right!
Mito: Okay, this is what we'll do. I'll head back to the head-quarter, while you'll stay here by Kakashi-Sensei's side. If I'm not back by 20 minutes, you'll try to reach out for the others, okay?
Hiruzen: No, I'll go instead, I'm much faster than you, and if anything were to happen to you, I-...
Mito: Hiruzen, you're the medical shinobi here, someone got to watch over Kakashi-Sensei. Can you handle that for me??
Hiruzen: I... Yes, I understand, but be careful out there and don't get hurt!
Mito: I will, don't worry.
Standing up to her feet, Mito slowly turned around as she was just about to leap off in the direction of the head-quarter. With her hand still lingering in the air, she felt someone grabbing on to it as Hiruzen got up too and pulled her close to him.
Mito: Hiruzen, what ar-...?!
Before she realized what just happened, their lips came together as Hiruzen kissed her for the first time, passionately.
Hiruzen: ...If you get yourself killed out there, I'll forever blame myself for not being able to protect you. Mito I-... I love you. I had to say it while I still can, while I still have you within my reach... I-...
Mito: I know... And the truth is, I've been feeling the same...

As the final Edo Kage was sealed by Sasuke, his Sword of Totsuka and Yata Mirror slowly disappeared, together with the rest of his Susanoo. A fierce battle had taken place, and it had craved many lives among the alliance. Naruto, Sasuke, Gaara and Killerbee were the only ones left battling, as the rest whom were still alive and were too exhausted to fight, had retreated a couple of yards away with Gaara and Killerbee, standing in defensive position. Meanwhile, Naruto and Sasuke had dealt with the last two Edo Kages, as blood were spilled everywhere and the voice of agony, pain and sorrow roared through the air.
Sakura: I can't believe it... I-...
Sasuke: Don't cry, this is the outcome of war, and people will die... You can't save them all Sakura!
Sakura: I-... I-... Tsunade is-...
Naruto Sage Clone: Sasuke is right... There's nothing more we can do for them...
Gai: Damn...
Killerbee: Brother...
Darui: He's gone Bee... Shee too damn it...
Gaara: I could have, Baki he-.....
Temari: Just don't Gaara...
Jiraiya: Damn it, damn it all, ugh... We need... Hiruzen and Mito... We need to go help Kakashi-Sensei, ugh!
Falling to his knees due to exhaustion, Jiraiya could no longer keep himself up standing.

Coming to his aid, Naruto helped him back up on his feet again, as Jiraiya went on.

From the east, someone came running towards them as it turned out to be Mito herself, as Temari ran over to her and embraced her as hard as she could.
Temari: You're alive!

Tears began to stream down Temari's chin as Sasuke stepped forward.
Sasuke: We need to get this situation under control, Mito, what happened?
Mito: Hiruzen he's... He's with Kakashi-Sensei, the two of them are alright. Kakashi managed to overcome Sakumo and sealed him away with his Kamui.
Gai: His Kamui, but how, his Sharingan was-...?
Mito: It's a long story! Kakashi passed out due to exhaustion, but Akashi... He's... he was killed in battle.
Gaara: One of many I'm afraid...
Yamato: We should head over there to assist Kakashi and Hiruzen!
Naruto Sage Clone: You're right...
Jiraiya: I'll head over there to help Kakashi-Sensei back on his feet.
Mito: Yeah, I'll come too!
Yamato: Not alone you don't, ugh-...
Gai: Yamato, you're in no condition to travel anywhere, I'll go instead.

Sasuke: Alright, the five of you will go there and help them out. Darui, can you handle things from here? Now with Mei, Tsunade, A, Onoki and Mifune gone, we need someone to operate things from here.
Darui: Me? But... Alright, no problem I guess.
Sasuke: The rest of us whom can still fight, we should head back to assist the real Naruto.
Naruto Sage Clone: Yep, I should transfer my chakra and knowledge back to him as the battle here is over. But hurry, I think I know a way to beat Kabuto now... If I only can get that barrier down.
With that, the clone disappeared in a cloud of smoke.
Gaara: I don't know if it's such a good idea to send too many, I'll stay behind too, together with Darui, to make sure things go right.
Killerbee: Yeah, good point, I'll help you out while Sasuke can take charge over the reinforcement squad.
Sasuke: Right, I'll head out at once. Let's go!
Sasuke rose to his feet again after taking a short break, as he went past the few standing members of the alliance, and walked slowly over to the other side of a crater in the ground. Several shinobi gathered behind him, as they leaped off at great speed.
Gai: We should go as well then.
Jiraiya: Yeah, what are we waiting for, let's go!
Leaping ahead of the rest, Gai, Sakura, Mito and Temari quickly followed.
Gaara: I guess that leaves us then.
Killerbee: Yeah...
Darui: I can't believe we lost so many in this battle, the past Kages were really strong indeed... Tsunade, Mei, Onoki, A, Mifune, Shikaku, Inoichi, Choza, Akashi, Ao, Neji, Baki, Shee, Tenten, Kiba, Karui, Omoi, Jugo, Shino, and the list goes on... And they were only a part of those who've died today. When this is over, we have to make sure we'll end the fighting for good...
Gaara: ... You're-... right. The next generation should never have to feel the pain of war.
Killerbee: Damn, you're right... Omoi and Karui too...
Still fighting to hold back their tears, Gaara set his mind to a certain task.
Gaara: Hey you, how are you coping?
Yamanaka Clan Member: I'm... I can't believe Kabuto managed to take down this many of us... If we only were prepared for this... Even Shikaku and Inoichi...
Gaara: That's exactly why I need your assistance now... With Inoichi gone, I need someone to-... to... to notify the rest of the alliance... to notify Shikamaru, Konohamaru, Kankuro and the rest... You think you can do that for me?
Yamanaka Clan Member: Sure... I-... I think I should be able to do it.
Gaara: Good, I'll take you to the transmission station; Bee, Darui, can you...
Darui: Not a problem.
Killerbee: Right...
As the Alliance prepared for a final showdown, several shinobi were mourning the dead as Killerbee and Darui turned around and walked towards them, trying their best to comfort those crying. Gaara went on together with the Yamanaka clan member, to send out a message to the others. Back in Kabuto's hideout however, Naruto was still fighting the eight Konoha affiliated Edo Tensei...
