So his 130+ rubs innings today , prompted me to post this.

Captain of South Africa

Most explosive batsmen of present time. 360 degree range of shots..

He stayed No 1 player in Test and ODI cricket for some time

Fastest 100

Fastest 150

Captain for SA Junior Rugby team

Holds six SA swimming school records

Fastest 100 m time in SA Juniors

National U19 Badminton champion

Part if team of SA for Davis cup

National Medal for science project from Nelson Mandela

He is a rockstar. Literally. He released a a single, "Show them who you are ". It was a huge hit in SA. He plays guitar and writes songs in his freetime.

In addition to this he also runs a fast food business with his brother.

He is also an integral part Make a Difference foundation.

Inspite of this he is a true gentleman. Always giving credit to others and always taking collective responsibility for the team. Listen to any of his interviews.

All in all a true all rounder and a role model for many.

The secret is his low CG (Center of Gravity) while playing shots. And of course the hand eye coordination. He is a treat to watch.

His on the spot thinking is something I have never seen from any batsmen . He toys with fielders once he is set.

+ them scoops straight over wicket keeper's head for sixes are just phenomenal

It's simple, runout him or forget that you are even in the game.

I don't know what MI selectors were thinking when they picked that bowling line up. MI has gone in with an inferior bowling attack due to their selection at the auctions .

Agreed. ABD is a legend; he's a phenomenal player to watch. His batting is easy on the eyes, and looking at his achievements is akin to opening up a treasure chest filled with bedazzling jewels. In spite of his great success as a player, he's magnanimous in defeat (see his WC interview in particular after the NZ loss) and also humble in victory. When he's batting, it's almost like he's the captain of the opposition team as well as his own. In other words, the way he moves the field around makes it look like he's the puppet master of the opposition, and the opposition captain is just a puppet. Brilliant stuff!

Yeah I know. We needed better bowlers, someone to support Malinga.

Malinga has been better in these blast few matches. Before that he looked rusty. Then again he is no spring chicken. Mumbai genuinely lacks 1-2 good young bowlers of international level. Like when Johnson was there. Nobidy of that caliber is there.
