Note: This story is fan fiction. and is used for entertainment purposes. Most Characters in this story are creations of Masashi Kishimoto but not all. The Legend of Uchiha Madara is a collection of fanfiction journal entries and actual life surrounding the Naruto Character Uchiha Madara. I wrote this this fanfiction to give Naruto fans, something else to read,imagine and talk about. I also wanted to go into detail about Madara’s life and write about events in the Naruto story that Kishimoto has covered yet/or will not cover. Example, how the Hyuga’s came into existence. It's for clearly entertainment. I also wanted to go with more of a movie script feel. Let me know what you all think. Last, this fan fiction consists of Journal entries written by Uchiha Madara and will switch back an forth from the entries to flashbacks relating to those entries. This is so the reader can get the full experience and use his/her imagination when it comes to the story.

Many Many Centuries Ago
Prologue
The Sage was a priest who appeared long ago during an age of endless chaos. He was the first to explain the truth about chakra. The Sage travelled throughout the world, spreading his ideas and beliefs, the Shinobi Sect (忍宗, Ninshū).
This Ninshū, eventually became known as ninjutsu. Centuries before, the Sage defeated the most powerful monster in the world, the Ten-Tails.In order to protect the world from the Ten-Tails and put an end to the chaos, the Sage developed a technique using ninjutsu, to seal the beast within himself. This allowed him to harness and control its terrifying power, and making himself the first jinchūriki (beast host). Although, he had successfully sealed the Ten-Tails within himself, he knew its power was still great that the seal would break after his death and thus releasing it back into the world.
So aware of this, the Sage used another jutsu known as The Creation of All Things (万造, Banbutsu Sōzō) to divide the Ten-Tails' chakra into nine parts and limit it’s power. These nine parts would become known as the tailed beasts. He then used one last jutsu called Chibaku Tensei to seal the Ten-Tails' body inside a gigantic stone prison in the sky, creating the moon. It is later revealed, that the Sage gave names to these beasts. The Sage also left behind a tablet his descendants, detailing his own history with the Ten-Tails. Only those who possess the Rinnegan, the sage’s eyes can fully decipher what is written on the tablet. While a reader with a lesser dōjutsu (eye technique) can still partially interpret the information.
Some time after the sage created the tailed beasts, he told them that they would always be together even when separated. He told them that one day they would become one entity again and when they did, they would understand what true power was.
The Sage's ultimate wish to establish peace throughout the world, was a goal that could never be achieved within his lifetime alone. Knowing that his end was approaching, the Sage entrusted his strength, dream, and legacy to his two sons. The older son, who inherited the Sage's "eyes" (his powerful chakra and spiritual energy), believed that power was the true key to peace. The younger son, who inherited the Sage's "body" (his powerful will and physical energy), believed that love was the true key to peace. On his deathbed, the Sage chose his younger son to be his successor. Overcome by bitterness and envy, the older son attacked the younger, beginning a war between them. Their feud would continue on through their descendants: the Senju clan and the Uchiha clan.

Entry One
This is the genealogy of Uchiha Madara from the time of the Sage to the birth of Madara. These are the names of my children and their father and my father, fathers. This is what it was: The Sage of Six Paths, Uchiha Chonan (his eldest son). Though Chonan had many sons and daughters, centuries later came the birth of my grandfather Uchiha Satoru. Satoru married Amaya Uchiha they had 4 sons and 2 daughters. One of those sons became my father Uchiha Takeshi, who married Fumiko Uchiha, my mother. Together they had 2 sons and no daughters. I, Uchiha Madara and my brother Uchiha Izuna, I being the eldest. Currently I’m the leader of our clan and Izuna is my second in command. My uncle recently asked us why we haven’t married yet. And the only answer I could give was “to test our strength.” We don’t have time to love and as I think about it I’m not sure how my father and mother found time for it with all the wars going on.
As one of the Sage’s descendants and I can honest tell you that the feuding has not stopped and far as I can remember, the Uchiha have been at war. And as I write about history, and write about my life. I wonder if I’ll ever see peace established throughout the world. However we are a waring clan. We are those blessed by The Sage and The older son. And with the sage gone, we are the only clan born with one of the two great dōjutsu. We are those who wield the Sharingan, We are The Uchiha and we are at war at this very moment. And not just with the Senju, but with the entire ninja world.
