“Korra has to figure out how to find a new balance in the city with all this stuff that’s gone on,” DiMartino recently told EW. “It’s gonna take place right after the finale, so it’s focusing on Korra and Asami’s relationship as a new threat emerges. It’s kind of like the aftermath dealing with the new portal in the city, and all the evacuees coming back to find their homes wiped out cause of the portal.”

This graphic novel will be segmented into three parts, similar to the graphic novels of Avatar: The Last Airbender. The first part is going to be released in June 2017.

Wow, I thought it was said that the last season (season 4) was going to be the last thing we'd see from the avatar franchise.

It's good news nonetheless, I'd like to see the life of an avatar before Aang tho (obviously not Roku or kiyoshi).

They said that after Korra, there won't be another animated series. Creating the second Avatar series was even more troublesome than the first one, they are kinda burned out by now. But soon after Legend of Korra was finished, the creators mentioned that there would be Korra-comics in the future, which is what's going to come to us now :D

But I don't think we will ever see the adventures of another Avatar.

They better finally bring up some information about Sokka's family (doubt it). Everyone's families of the original Team Avatar has been elaborated on...except Sokka ~_~
I would like that as well. In the comics about Aang and his friends, "Bryke" addressed the loose ends about Zuko's mom, Mai and Azula. So there is hope! I'd also like to see what's going on in the fire nation. Zuko's daughter didn't get enough spotlight and we don't know what happened to Azula, which would be interesting to know, after what happened/is happening in the comics about Aang.

My favorite topic would be an aftermath concerning Zaheer tho. It was implied that he spends most of his time in the spirit world and I would love to see how he leaves his body in prison behind to become some kind of soul/spirit, like Iroh did. Interactions/exchange of philosophies between those two very wise men while drinking tea would be the best thing they could do to the (in my opinion) best (former) villain of the Avatar franchise.
