It is because it was super charka consuming? Itachi could only maintain it for Hydra fight, same with Sasuke vs Kakashi, it was gone after firing 1 arrow. Actually in both these scenarios they were already after heavy fight and didn't have much chakra left, but then again "fresh" Sasuke used it only "for fun" against Zetsu and he has never used again in real fight. Same with Edo Itachi, using v2 to save Killer bee and Naruto from Nagato and then switching to v3 to fire yasaka magatama. Against Kabuto they both decided to stick with v3, but EMS Sasuke was also using only v3 (till he got ps) through the entire war arc. Same goes for Madara, using only v3 against SA.

I've always asked myself that but I couldn't come up with any reasonable answer. perhaps Kishi had problems with drawing it.

is Madara's V4 (it's much bigger than Sasuke's and Itachi's tho) then yes. V4 is unstabilized PS, and PS is just V5/legged V4 as you called it.

I already answered it to Megax Rocker7, but with the images so yeah...whatever...guess you guys will read it in a few hours or I will just say it again now - if that's Madara's V4 (it's much bigger than Sasuke's and Itachi's tho) then V4 is unstabilized PS and PS is just V5/legged V4 as Megax Rocker7 called it.
