The real key figure is most likely the Hyuga's relation to Hamura Otsutsuki, brother of the Sage of Six Path and the other son of Princess Kaguya.

1)Hinata is a Hyuuga Clan and her associate being Hamura's Descendant .

2)His Motives are still pretty unclear it is possible he kidnapped Hinata because of some bad blood between Hamura and Otsutsuki Clan happened during Ages Ago . He wants to take Revenge Grudge against Hamura's Lineage
