if they used Gerard Butler as Joel and Ellen Page as Ellie the characters would be spot on. but history has showed us time and time again, that videogame movies suck

few examples: Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Tomb Raider, Prince Of Persia....


russel crowe or hugh jackman might be able to pull it off as well though

I would watch it just for Ellen Page, but I doubt she'll ever consider doing a film associated with The Last of Us, I think way back then when the game first released she was going to sue or something like that because they rendered Ellie to look like Ellen Page and she wasn't even on contract or working with them on the game

She could have sued them, because the character resemblance is outstanding. But she never did for god knows what reason, it's obviously not really her anyway. she was already acting in beyond two souls at that time.

OT: It looks like you're sensitive to even the miniature bugs, they exist in all games. All you gotta do is deal with it.
