Walking Dead has made it a lot more popular recently, but this is kind of different. In most of the trailers/videos I've seen so far you go up against other humans more often than the infected. It might be made so the infection is more of a back drop to the story; more of a focus on post apocalyptic life maybe.
Though I do like the idea behind zombies in this. The infection is based on a fungus that infects ants and takes control of them. It makes them climb high usually above their colony and then the fungus grows out of their body and releases spores down onto the colony. The infection in this game is like a human-specific version of that fungus, though just without the whole climbing and releasing spores bit.

Oh my god, yes, I have been wanting this game so hard since Game Informer did their first review of it! I am going to pre-order it at Amazon or Gamestop, but I have to admit, I dont really care for the bonus pack they are offering if you pre-order. I think it sucks ><

This game looks amazing. I really can not wait for it to come out. Naughty Dog has created many good games in their life time. Especially the Jak and Daxter trilogy. Also, of course the Uncharted game.
