Honestly i do not get where most of the base gets their literary knowledge from when they say she is actually a decently written character. And i don't get how having less paneltime means an excuse for a poor character. Like...she is not good because she is not shown but she wouod be much more based on what exactly? She becomes a better main character than Sakura just because she is from a clan? Do people here even read zlich other than manga ? How is being from a clan a characterization trait.? And they say it is because cuz there is nothing much else to say about her other than her badly written love for Naruto.
OT: Idk how whole character ruined based on one chapter. I do not like Sakura, never did. But if you did not see this was what she was anyway that means you ignored the portions of her character which you did not want to admit.
Forget part 1, in kage summit (few weeks before war and Final fight) she failed to kill Sasuke because she loved him. In war image of Sasuke popped in her thoughts when a ninja gave her love letter. Kakashi said she loved Sasuke no matter what right before final fight. I did not expect much from her regarding to Sasuke.

I have seen plenty. And i don't see a reason why would she get attempted to be "defended" so much when someone does not even think of her as decently written.
She is a side character what do you expect? She did not get much exposer to make a impact. The side character excuse is used because of how poorly Kishi has developed side characters in this manga.
Again with the "side character" thing... How is that an excuse? Best written characters of this series are almost all among the side cast. Orochimaru, Danzo, Gaara, Lee, Neji, Sasori, Kabuto, Kisame for example. They were side characters but i can say they are decent.
No it does not. Clan is just related to having a power from linage in this manga. Not having a clan also a reason for sort of development, a good example would be Lee and Gai, whose characters' rich points came from not having a heritage or granted powers. Sakura did have the similar potential, but it was not written well. Having a clan and not having a clan offers different potentials, but these potentials are not inferior to each other.
So do you think its fair to judge her character off what you have not seen?
For a fictional character, yes. If it was for something like a country i could not judge based on what i have seen, because what i have not seen would exist regardless. Same can not be said for a fictional character who is what the author have written. What i have seen is what author have written. I can not judge her over headcanons.
If one is to look at Hinata clearly. They can see that there is a lot of things in her character that could be worked on

He is from an orphanage so that gives an interesting and dramatic background. He had relations to Kabuto, one of the most developed characters and biggest villains. He is waiting for Kabuto and concerned over his friends' wounds, so he is a very good guy. If these get to developed he would be so darn awesome. Bet he would be a greater heroine than Sakura too.

I am upset obviously....... I didnt want Sakura to end up being an idiot but she did. Only an idiot continues to go after the guy who treated her like shit. Not even maybe two days after Sasuke 'turned' into a different person was she up his ass trying to follow him around the world, like everything he did to her didnt mean anything, she simply disrespected herself by acting like that.

Love is different, Sasuke is not going spend the rest of his life with Naruto or Kakashi, its only going to be Sakura. But to simply allow him back into your life because of a thank you and sorry is ridiculous and only shows Sakura has a very low standard for herself.
Sasuke is a good portion of Sakura's character and I understand that she loves him and never stopped but she should have stopped. That is the whole point of me seeing some other development in her, if she stopped it would have been great development for her character because he treated her badly, so if Sakura said I am not taking this shit and got over Sasuke in the end then it would have been great for her character.

Hinata actually had a similar issue with her father as Sasuke had with his. Which is focusing on their sibling more than them. She could have developed an bond with Sasuke similar to Naruto.

It is alright to have and like headcanons, but we all read the same and one manga. Lets judge the characters over that, not over personal couldwouldshoulds which do not apply to others.
Sasori and Danzo were present in basicly one arc. Sasori was not even focal point at all.
Lee and Neji were not appearant in part 2 asides from Gai vs Madara fight which Lee involved and Neji's death.

I liked her for the character I thought she was becoming. I thought in the end she would be a strong person and get over Sasuke due to the fact that SO many bad things happened to her, it was only logical.
Paws Sakura is not the only character who got shafted. Many other females were too.I personally believe that Hinata ending up with Naruto also was bad for her character because honestly that's what she was all about for 700 chapters and it pretty much solidified her position as a satellite character.Its really convenient that the guys love in this manga are just crushes but all the female loves are true loves
Hell some teams got shafted too.Gai is in a wheel chair.Neji is dead.TenTen is running a shop which isn't doing well.Lee was the only one which made me somewhat smile there
